I am leaning toward another home underdog game in the state of Washington as mine.

Speaking of the Duckies...awful quiet today when it's GAMEDAY BITCHES!

Cal got a chance tonite? Will Goff "go off" on a Duck secondary ripe for the pickens? I am looking forward to tonight's ballgame, but NO CHATTER has me wondering "what the hells going on around here"?
:noidea:

As a fanbase that tends to be the case more often than not.

Fav Pac QBs of lore?

USC- Can't remember em all, so many...Linhart stuck a knife in many an opponent for sure.

UCLA - Aikman the most notable.

Cal- Rodgers certainly has made a name for himself of late.

ASU - Walters knew how to stretch a D out.

Zona - Can't think of one off the top of my head. Yhose guy are new to the Pac anywhoze, call me again in twenty years.

Utes - Again new to the Pac, but yeah Smith comes to mind here.

Colorado - I would have to look it up...to lazy now.

Washington - Will always remember Sonny Sixkiller, What a name and QB he was. Washington became a national power back then or shortly afterwards. That team produced many others as well.

Stanford - QB U...Plunkett, Luck and Elway- how many damn SBs did those guys get or came close to having?

Washington State - Yepperz...D Bledsoe went on to be the best from there. Lives in Bend, OR. now.

Oregon - Dan Fouts, oh weee could that guy throw the rwak at the next level.

Oregon State - Gotta go with J Smith here...ONLY QB that could win the big ones for me Beavs...small in size, but had a huge heart. Fire him now Huskies...would like to see him come home and guide our QBs for a while.

Nick Foles????? :fify:

I can't see Cal stopping MM, especially wif the Ducks O-line coming back into end season form now. I am more interesting in seeing the Cal O versus the Duckie D.

If Oregon is hot on offense early, Goff will start pressing the issue. Leading to some Oregon blitzes that will result in sacks or rushed throws resulting in picks.

If Goff throws a lot of incompletions score could get ugly. Stopping the clock and giving Oregon more offensive opportunities vs FBS worst statistical defense in Cal Bears.

Wow, Phil is really sticking his neck out.

Lolz...yep, chose the lowest point spread for his weekend upset. Game could go either way neutral. Be interesting how well Kelly plays early in this one. Graham picked a good game to bring his guy back in for a start. Get Kelly on the road and focused versus at home with a crowd that likes both QBs, but which may turn quick on the guy coming back from an injury.

I thought that was a good coaching decision for ASU.

Well, Wiz, You're playing at home, your own turf, with even God on your side giving you weather the "desert dwellers" can't play in. Yet, this would be the biggest win of Petersen's short tenure? Sounds like mega whining ahead of time; crying in advance; excuses before the fact. The Ducks have traumatized you, Wiz.

What the fuck are you on about now? I said I was shocked at that line when Mamba first posted it and clearly laid out why.

It is true that the sun states struggle in rain and severe weather. Read the other day that for 13 years Don James never lost a game to any sun state team (all 4 cali and az) when it was raining in Seattle for a home game. Zona last year didn't care much for the weather up here and it showed.

You can say both that teams from down there don't like this weather AND should still win. When haven't I said all year that UW's offense is dead last in the conf? Oregon had nothing to do with that. Defense should have played better against them and I'd bet they will be tougher on your boys at home, but without some substantial improvement on offense it shouldn't be enough unless there are turnovers. I'm just perplexed at why the line is so tight on this one.

So keep trying to twist things. I guess it's all you do anymore. Can't remember the last real contribution you gave to this thread.

Not to mention the backup is the better down field passer (in very limited numbers of course) while Kelly runs more of the zone read stuff which might be better in a high wind game.

Going to be another cold and crappy night for such a late game. 7:45pm? :gaah:

I still can't figure out how Oregon is favored less over Cal than UDud.

Cal actually has an offense? :noidea:

Seriously though, it was just announced that Troy Williams will be starting at QB for UW tomorrow. I might be more excited for this game now than any so far this year. Been waiting for this to happen.

Redshirt freshman quarterback Troy Williams is scheduled to make his starting debut for Washington against No. 14 Arizona State on Saturday night, UW sources told The Seattle Times.

Sophomore quarterback Cyler Miles exited last week’s game at Oregon with a concussion, and Williams took the first-team snaps during practice leading up to Saturday’s 7:45 p.m. kickoff (TV: ESPN).
Williams attempted his first collegiate passes against Oregon and scored his first career touchdown on a 7-yard run in the fourth quarter, capping a 17-play, 75-yard drive. He finished the game 5 of 10 passing for 37 yards.

A 6-foot-2, 194-pound native of Carson, Calif., Williams was the Huskies’ No. 3 quarterback a month ago, behind Miles and sophomore Jeff Lindquist, before cutting down on his turnovers and nudging ahead of Lindquist in recent weeks.
