Fav Pac QBs of lore?

USC- Can't remember em all, so many...Linhart stuck a knife in many an opponent for sure.

UCLA - Aikman the most notable.

Cal- Rodgers certainly has made a name for himself of late.

ASU - Walters knew how to stretch a D out.

Zona - Can't think of one off the top of my head. Yhose guy are new to the Pac anywhoze, call me again in twenty years.

Utes - Again new to the Pac, but yeah Smith comes to mind here.

Colorado - I would have to look it up...to lazy now.

Washington - Will always remember Sonny Sixkiller, What a name and QB he was. Washington became a national power back then or shortly afterwards. That team produced many others as well.

Stanford - QB U...Plunkett, Luck and Elway- how many damn SBs did those guys get or came close to having?

Washington State - Yepperz...D Bledsoe went on to be the best from there. Lives in Bend, OR. now.

Oregon - Dan Fouts, oh weee could that guy throw the rwak at the next level.

Oregon State - Gotta go with J Smith here...ONLY QB that could win the big ones for me Beavs...small in size, but had a huge heart. Fire him now Huskies...would like to see him come home and guide our QBs for a while.

So in today's news out of Seattle.

Russell Wilson isn't black enough according to Harvin and other Hawks players.

Uhhh, what does that mean? A step in the wrong direction.

Yeah, kinda funny. You hear the "he's not black enough" thing thrown out there from time to time, but no one ever seems to define exactly what "black enough" means.

Does he like country music or classic rock instead of rap? :noidea:

For me, it's Matt Leinart vs. ASU in 2003. The qb battle had literally gone down to the end of training camp with neither Leinart or Matt Cassell really taking control of the position. Pete Carroll went with his "gut feeling" and named Leinart the starter.

USC was coming off the triple OT loss to Aaron Rodgers and Cal, were not playing well vs. ASU and Leinart injured his left knee and ankle in the 2nd quarter (it didn't look like he'd be able to play in the 2nd half). The score was 10-10 at halftime and by the time Leinart got back on the field in the 3rd quarter, it was 17-10 ASU. He then led USC to 27 unanswered points and a 37-17 USC win. Pete Carroll has said that was the game when the Trojans truly became "Leinarts Team".

Outside of that. Some of the qb's that I've really enjoyed watching were Dennis Dixon (before he got hurt), Jake "The Snake" Plummer and Cade McNown. More recently and currently, I've liked/like watching Nick Foles, Andrew Luck, Jake Locker, Sean Mannion and Marcus Mariota. Ryan Leaf was fun to watch at Wazzou, but kinda more fun when he melted down in the NFL.

Speaking of Oregons Dixon. Best signs at college game I've seen. Oregon vrs USC
Our Dixon your Bush followed by Our Dixon your Booty. lol

Well it's happened again, this time sooner than later. Beavs are in the rear with the gear. Morning time is over, time to gameplan for the Trees this weekender.

Our team always seems to play a good Card team tough, but come up short in the end. I am actually ok with that, just as long as we are competitive for the entire game...get me to the 4th and let the Cards fall where they may be my mantra.

Basically the same type of D as Utahs. Cards force the Os to quickly decide their plays. Don't expect long to throw here either Mannion. Progression reads may just add up to 2 only and that rwak better be gone. Safe to say the Beavs receivers are thin at best this year and few are injured. What's left better pickup their games and show a pair. Last week one did, caught two tough balls for TDs, nice to that guy step it up. Where the hell are my TEs tho? I get it, their in the trenches blocking. The same gameplan better be slightly different THIS week tho. Keep the screens and draws available, but let's expand to include quick slants into the vacant LB positions as well.

Anywhoze, the games go on..no time to cry and take your ball home now.

OWN IT players, coaches and ballboy. No cryin about officiating, unblocked Cards OR the fact that the Beav offense is lackluster at best.

If we lose to a better team on the last drive of a game, then so be it. Don't leave any gas in the tank this time either.

If you look at the 'real rob report' from Wilson's rookie season he did 'sound' more 'urban'?

I do laugh when anyone talks about not being black enough because they normally also talk about being treated differently. Can't have it both ways.

They also said Wilson is too close to the GM (I guess not one of the guys?) and he doesn't take responsibility for incomplete passes. Sounds like some whining to me.

Turns out Harvin is as bad as he was at FSU and the Vikings.

If you are talking about WSU and QB's it begins and ends with Ryan Leaf, if there is even a second quarterback discussed it is Alex Brink.

Our QB's go
Ryan Leaf
Alex Brink
Jason Gesser
Jack Thompson
Drew Bledsoe

Bledsoe all the way. That Apple Cup in Pullman in the snow was a classic if ever there was one. Terrible game for the dawgs, but he was outstanding. To me Bledsoe > Leaf all week.

But what exactly did he accomplish while at WSU? That is why I put Gesser and Brink over him above him, Gesser got us to a Rose Bowl and Brink set record numbers and is tied with Rypien for the most AC wins. Even the amazing performance of the Snow Bowl isn't IMO above Gesser's one legged stomping of UCLA at the Rose Bowl in 02. I love Bledsoe for what he did for the school but without really a resume besides one game is hard to put him number one on the list, I do wish he were around for 2 more years in 94 so WSU would have one NC though.

UW game line is now at +3.5. Still surprised it's that low. Ranked team that just beat Stanford in fairly convincing fashion getting their starting QB back against a team struggling to find its identity under a first year coaching staff that has a lack of talent on the offensive side of the ball, at least at QB and RB.

I picked UW this week, but ASU should win by 14+. UW only wins this game if ASU struggles with the wind and rain and ends up putting he rock on the ground a few times. I mean winning this would easily be the biggest win in Petersen's short tenure

I always figured UW fan's favorite Coug QB would be Alex Brink since he ended the golden Ty Willingham era.

NN, why is UW only a slight dog against your team coming into this weekend? As bad as our offense is I was just shocked to see that line being so low. You all have some bad injuries or something? :noidea:

Well, Wiz, You're playing at home, your own turf, with even God on your side giving you weather the "desert dwellers" can't play in. Yet, this would be the biggest win of Petersen's short tenure? Sounds like mega whining ahead of time; crying in advance; excuses before the fact. The Ducks have traumatized you, Wiz.

Speaking of the Duckies...awful quiet today when it's GAMEDAY BITCHES!

Cal got a chance tonite? Will Goff "go off" on a Duck secondary ripe for the pickens? I am looking forward to tonight's ballgame, but NO CHATTER has me wondering "what the hells going on around here"?
