I think they have talent but am unsure of exactly who they are with the quality of teams they have faced as yet. That game Saturday could have been even more lopsided if Travis Wilson hadn't try to go all superman just to get back to the line of scrimmage. That play made me so fucking angry. We haven't had a QB complete a season since Brian Johnson in 08' and dude does some dumb shit like that? I respect that he's trying to make plays but you gotta be smarter than that. Hopefully we can stay healthy for once and actually get to see what they can do.

Was an awkward landing. I thought he might have screwed up his neck. Glad he made it back.

Winning a road game against a blue blood is big. Utahs passing all the tests and then some. Dominate sub-par competition at home, check. Winning on the road against a P5 team, check. Winning big too I might add. They embarrassed Michigan.

A lot of good teams in the south. Utah is one of them. Competition is going to be fierce.

Yes, but their defense was gassed at the end and gave up 36 to AZ, CAL will have to have a full four quarters of defense to win many P-12 games.

Was impressed with the Cougs D effort. Best I've seen in years. They gave the Ducks the biz many times.

As for Cal, they do have an improved team, but their d is going to get gassed in 2nd halfs and that's when you going to work on them.

As for Cal's defense... a lot of it wasn't actually their defenses fault in that 4th quarter. A lot of crazy shit happened. The interception got us in range for a quick TD and the recovered onside kick also helped a ton. Not much their D could do being backed up the entire time.

And the hail mary was just icing on the cake.

Night games in Pullman are always because that is what all Cougs, young and old, do is start drinking early on Saturday. I can't remember if it was the same year or the year after the AC in which the fans threw shit at the refs and Huskies but we were all a little too drunk and did some pretty stupid shit to the UCLA team and their bus.

It was a great effort, had we had a guy like Deone Bucannon in the secondary we probably would've won. Our secondary is horrible and a few guys have left the team. That weird defensive alignment also made me impressed with our linebackers.

Also, Mariota was impressive. It almost appeared as if it was WSU vs. M.Mariota, and M.Mariota won. Tough game, fun to watch.

That pass rush is something I kind of wondering if other teams will try. It was a 2-5-4 hybrid alignment, reminds me of 01 when we went with a 6 man front to go against Ontario Smith after he ran wild on us the year previous.
