I don't know, hard to tell since we beat them last year as well. If Halliday plays like he did against Oregon (he is bound to have at least one more good game) he will put 600 on Cal.

I'm liking Utahs chances in the south this year, since the Michigan win. Going to be a royal rumble in that division!

It was a good win but how good is Michigan? Still not sure what this Utes team is yet. Their Defense looked great at times and gave up some boneheaded plays. Offense needs to be able to establish the run a bit more to soften up the defense for Travis Wilson. Special Teams are lights out though.

If anything they are comparable. It's not like one is drastically better than the other.

But that wasn't your statement. If both teams played like they did Saturday then we beat them by at least 3 touchdowns. but the likability of us bring another A game like that for a team like Cal isn't very high.

Mamba said Mariota would have had better numbers had he played Cal instead of WSU. All I'm trying to say is Cal and WSU aren't really that different in terms of quality of opponent.

Ya, I just guess I can't agree with that because we brought our absolute best and Mariotta still pulled that off. Truly that was a Heisman performance, I don't think he really had a great game cause of the gameplan and only made really 7 or 8 good/great plays but all those big plays led to points or near points.

Agreed. Utah may not win a division, but they will wreak some havoc. I'll be at the Rose Bowl for the Ute v. Bruin showdown.

Yeah, I see the South coming down to UCLA and USC with ASU as a dark horse (not sleeping on 'Zona either). If any of those teams bring anything less than their A game, they likely get beat and it could cost them their shot at the South.

Have fun at the game. If you get a chance, meet some of the Utah fans. I was at their first PAC game when they played us at the Coliseum. Ute fans were very nice and were very respectful of the campus. There were a couple of Ute fans sitting by my son and I during the game and we had a blast with them.

I think they have talent but am unsure of exactly who they are with the quality of teams they have faced as yet. That game Saturday could have been even more lopsided if Travis Wilson hadn't try to go all superman just to get back to the line of scrimmage. That play made me so fucking angry. We haven't had a QB complete a season since Brian Johnson in 08' and dude does some dumb shit like that? I respect that he's trying to make plays but you gotta be smarter than that. Hopefully we can stay healthy for once and actually get to see what they can do.
