Shelton on his way for possible PAC DPOY
There is still just soo many unknowns with this team right now with a 1st year coach. There is just nothing to measure this team against PAC competition yet.
I kind of thought the transition was going to be smoother, but that might of been just a bad assumption. Petersen has been aggressive with implementing his own schemes when many thought would would retain more of what Sark ran this year to ease the transition, especially with the Jrs and Srs. But no, he's going full bore into his own system. In some ways, that's obviously good, but in some ways, it's not looking so pretty at times. Many are shocked we're seeing these 3-4 looks with the D when Wilcox ran more of a dedicated 4-3. I guess with Shelton being such a beast at NT, you can attempt these 3-4 looks to assist with the pass D, but still, it's just really making it hard to figure out what end result they have planned.
Oh well, PAC play begins this week. We'll get a better picture of what's going on with this team with Stanford and Cal games. Win or lose. Hopefully Ws.
