Bringing "Big Sexy" Back???

Colon, 46, hoping for one more season in majors

Even though Bartolo Colon hasn't thrown a pitch in the majors since September 2018, the 46-year-old is not thinking about retirement.
Colon hopes to pitch one more big league season, and if given the choice, it would be with the New York Mets.

Colon, who has pitched 21 seasons and won 247 games, said his time with the Mets from 2014 to '16 held some of his fondest memories. He highlighted the clubhouse environment and the Mets' young pitching staff, particularly Noah Syndergaard, who anointed him "Big Sexy" -- which became the title of his recently released autobiography.

He added: "If it was up to me, I would retire with the Mets. I would like my career to end in New York."

MLB stars hit social media to share Floyd feelings

George Floyd's death reverberates around MLB

Mets first baseman Pete Alonso shared a short message on his Instagram story.

"I will never know what it feels like to be discriminated against because [of] the color of my skin," Alonso said. "To anyone who faces this type of discrimination, I will fight for you and be an ally. I will always stand with you. There needs to be justice and change made for the better of humanity."

Mets reopen Spring Training complex in Fla.

NEW YORK -- For the first time in more than two months, the Mets have opened the doors to their Spring Training complex in Port St. Lucie, Fla. The team's Clover Park facilities had been shuttered since late March before reopening Monday for players who live locally.

A team official estimated that four to six players have already begun training at the complex. All activities must take place while observing MLB, CDC, and local and state safety protocols.
