Steelers: Nothing on the Horizon0

The Steelers are rarely ever players in free agency. When reports arose that the Steelers were favorites to sign ex-Chargers running back Mike Tolbert it made sense. Tolbert is a typical Steelers free agent signing; a player that can contribute, but comes at a reasonable price. However, Gerry Dulac, Steelers beat writer for the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, shot down any Tolbert rumors and twitted that a deal is “not happening.”

The only rumors left involving the Steelers are those predicting a landing spot for WR Mike Wallace. The deadline for any team to sign Wallace is April 20, 2012 so as of now there isn’t anything on the Steelers free agent horizon. In fact with their salary cap issues the Steelers could wait until after the draft to address free agency. The only Steelers free agent that may see action prior to the draft is CB William Gay.

Gay had his best season in 2011 and the Steelers would like to retain him heading into the 2012 season. Gay has expressed interest in returning to the Steelers and a deal is likely. It is more of a matter of when than if at this point.

at least I picked my team... Bristol is one you really can't predict....

When I was there for the race a few years ago.... I had decent seat on turn 4 and Jr had a shitty race and f*ckin Shrub won what a disappointment

since then, I just watch Bristol for the wrecks... (I have hope Shrub finds the wall.... a few times)
