And who is your metal Loc??? My all time fav is Led but I love alot of the 70's and 80's metal...

here are some tracks from some of my favorite 80's albums
(although most of the best metal records were recorded in the 90s actually...)

I would have 'High Noon' in there somewhere. As a guilty pleasure, one of the 'Trinity' movies. I would take 'My Darling Clementine' for it's feel over the historical realism (which I appreciate) of 'tombstone'.
Might need a new category for the 'thoughtful western' - 'Unforgiven', 'The Oxbow incident' and maybe 'Red River'.

other than red river, I like all those.
I guess I was just thinking ... if I had to sit on a desert island and only watch 10 westerns for the rest of my life, which would I pick...

Alrighty Loc, it's 8.2 that means a must watch..

I think it's Hitchcock's lost treasure.
Not to say Psycho, Vertigo, NbN, Rebecca, etc aren't great... but for some reason nobody ever taks about this one. It's a bit brooding, but it's visually alive, and probably has the best acting of any of his masterpieces. It's also maybe the most 'aware' subject matter in a movie of his for the time ...

No, might check that out. I like the Wayne westerns. I've seen the now ancient 'Stagecoach', directed by John Ford, though - that's a classic. And Wayne is great in 'The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance', which has Jimmy Stewart and Lee Marvin in it, too. Lee Marvin was badass.

A good western is a must.. We just watched the Hatfields and the McCoys mini series I feel it's a must see... I like Cosner, Paxton, Booth and Berenger, the rating is a 5.5 but I watched all 3 episodes and enjoyed it...
