I dont think Peters forecasted Phenix going to Atlanta. If Peters had JJ as his #1 QB I think he would be looking to deal.

Completely disagree. If JJ was his #1 QB, he would have taken him at 2, unless it really did not matter to him. You put way too much into the pundits.

You stated if JJ was his #1, Peters would be looking to deal. If JJ was his clear cut #1, there is no way he would have been looking to deal and give another team the opportunity to trade up.

I think you may need to look at what happened. Williams 1, Jayden 2, Maye 3, Penix 8, JJ 10, Bo 12.

Had we traded down, there is a strong likelihood other teams would have traded up because we had no choice whatsoever but to take a QB.

JJ went 11. Who was trading up? what team? There was no market for him that is why no one traded up for JJ. Atl liked Phenix, Denver liked Nix, and the raiders liked JD. The bottom line is that if we took the Minn deal, we would have gotten JJ at #11 with 2 first round draft picks. Doesn't matter Peters wanted JD. The whole point of this was JJ was overhyped and wasn't going top 10.
