How is Kool Aide the lesser player? If RR made the Newton pick, it would have been board meltdown. Did you really have DT at 36 in your mocks?
He is a lesser player in the eyes of Adam peters, obviously.
I dont do mocks.

JJ went 11. Who was trading up? what team? There was no market for him that is why no one traded up for JJ. Atl liked Phenix, Denver liked Nix, and the raiders liked JD. The bottom line is that if we took the Minn deal, we would have gotten JJ at #11 with 2 first round draft picks. Doesn't matter Peters wanted JD. The whole point of this was JJ was overhyped and wasn't going top 10.

There would have been a market if we traded down. Had we traded down below 4, there would have been a huge push to trade up because of how obvious we were to draft a QB. Minnesota would have given everything they could to go up ahead of us. JJ went 10 buddy..

I am not sure how JJ was overhyped. He went #10. Projections were as low as the 20s and as high as 2.

Minn would have traded with us at # 2 to pick Maye, Minn was out of the picture. JJ was overhyped b/c people thought he was going high, he didnt. There was no trade up market for him if Minn traded with us to get Maye. This is if Peters had JJ as his #1 QB.

Its just like what BB did to us last year with Gonzo. Gonzo was NE #1 Cb but still traded down to get him b/c BB knew RR loved Forbes. It worked out great for the Pats b/c he got this guy and a draft pick. It's about knowing the board.

I'm just chiming in, but JJ to Minnesota has always been what the majority of the board thought. This may be incorrect but JJ to NYG just recently picked up steam due to guys having nothing else to talk about. Nabers to NYG was mocked early on and it made sense, since they need a WR1. JJ went in the top 10, to the right OC, he should be fine in 2 years
