if your MOBO and chipset support it, you can buy a 90-96 GB SSD (primary master, for O/S and programs) for $100 , you'll need a slave drive for data.

but your performance will jump through the roof

well I am limited by my internet servce,,,I have Hughs net and they really suck

ok
breakdown

I know nothing about your current machine

MOBO= motherboard
(the big piece of silicon all the chips and shit sit on )

chipset (controlling architecture of hte pc)

SSD= solid state drive. a hard drive that is as fast (read write) as RAM (random access memory, RAM) . you can basically nowadays put RAM in as your primary hard drive. but it's pricy. you can't get the same storage space size for a reasonable price. you need to do this in 2 drives . a primary SSD that serves to install the O/S (operating system) and programs. and a secondary tradtional HDD (like you have, spinning platter 7200 or so RPM HDD) to store data.

I don't know,it's a reconditioned Dell E310

Yeah, I'm back. Ghost, that thing has a Pentium 4 processor in it. It is not suitable for a modern web experience. I respectfully advise you to upgrade.

All the new computers have dual-core (or quad-core - which in my opinion is overkill). It is a minimum requirement for streaming at ESPN3. Do you want a laptop or PC?

GG, I know you live out in the sticks from your posts. Do you have a monitor lying around? Check out Craigslist in your area for used - don't buy the first thing you see. You want something with 'dual-core' and >= 4gb ram. It's possible to pick up something for like 300-600 bucks. Ask leader (he seems knowledgeable), or me.
