Morning GG!

Yea Benjamin is a stud. I would definitely be happy if we drafted him in the 1st. However I think that his draft stock is going to skyrocket this offseason making it harder for him to fall to PIT at pick #15. I'm almost willing to bet that he will be either the 1st or 2nd WR taken off the board. He has great size (6'5" 235lbs) & athleticism! But it is a guarantee that PIT will AT LEAST get a look at either Evans (WR Texas A&M) or Benjamin. Both have the same size, but I would rather have Benjamin.

1 of those boys you mentioned is only 6'1" and I'm with you I would prefer Benjamin also,,, hell they could screw up the rest of the draft and I would still be happy if the did manage to get him

Evans & Benjamin are both 6'5". Evans is 10lbs lighter though. The #1 prospect, Watkins (WR Clemson) is 6'1".

ok it was Watkins that was 6'1",,,,,,,,,, as you know we are in a wait and see situation here,,, the waiting for that 1st pick is the hardest part of the whole draft process

Yea I hate the wait... I'm looking forward to free agency next month. It will be interesting to see who the Steelers show interest in. Because that will be a decisive factor in who they want to go after in the draft.

the Steelers have never been real active during free agency

Oh I know that! The Roonies have always preferred homegrown vs. making a splash in the FA market. But they always seem to be able to find viable, "below the radar", experienced players that make a difference when they are in need.

i think things will come together for us next season

I hope so... I don't know if the drywall in my man cave can take another 8-8 season, or another 0-4 start.

I can't remember the last high profile free agent they picked up it's always the lower tier players the role players that they will pick up,,,, like you said they like to build from the draft, it has always been that way with them

Exactly. I don't recall any of their FA signings as "high profile"... But one thing we can agree on is that they rarely miss on a FA pickup. Guys like James Farrior, Ryan Clark, Jeff Hartings, etc etc come to mind.

Lots of foreign objects have found my partitioning to be their new home. When I tear down the wall for a remodel I will have a lot of explaining to do.

Same with my dogs... They always beg during the 1st quarter while I snack but they leave soon after the obsceneties start flying.
