Game 7 Pitt vs. NY who wins and what score is predicted.

I think it is easy to go with the Rangers because of how hot they are and how Henrik is the better goalie, but I have to think special teams is going to decide this game and to me I think for one game, Sid and Malkin will do something - I say 3-1 Penguins, they get a power play goal and an empty netter

The team to score the first goal is 19-0 in the 2nd round I believe that will be big

Minnesota scored first last night and lost so I think it's 18-1 now or something like that - but teams were undefeated going into last night before that

Whoever wins and I like Pitt also b/c of home ice they will be tired playing next round.

Well it depends on what happens in the Bruins/Habs series, if that goes to a 7th game, the Bruins or Habs might be more tired - Pittsburgh would have an extra day off because game 7 in Boston would be Wednesday - so we'll see what happens - I want to see the Penguins win because I still don't think the Rangers are that great, they played awful in Games 2-4 and to me I haven't seen them play this well the last two games, for a while, it's just that the Penguins have completely screwed up again

It stinks that the Rags got some fresh legs back in the lineup in Kreider and Pitt doesn't have that luxury.

Yeah Kreider's played well but I think the Penguins these last two games have shown why they've choked so many times - to me it's more of what they're not doing instead of what the Rangers are doing, everyone does this to the Penguins - if the Penguins lose next game then Disco Dan is dunzo, you can't play as well as they did in Games 2-4 and then completely lose it like this, this might be worse than if they lost to Columbus in the first round

Exactly right! I hope Dickhead Dan is gone no matter what happens. I don't like the Flyers obviously but I think they are going to be the team that takes over the East from Boston. Seeing a Boston/Philly ECF next year would be such an awesome series. Flyers or not, good hockey is second to none and a series like that would be textbook playoff hockey at its best!

Dan's shelf life is up, time for a new direction.

Prediction: Pens dominate, 4-1

Hope: Natural disaster

same hope, but i think the rags grind out a 2-1 win. boring ass hockey team with a boring ass arena IMO. they dial down the excitment that teams like the flyers/pens thrive on and grind out wins. bores me to death, but it works :noidea:

Hey boys! Does anyone think Schenn is on the trade block? I hope not, but we are up against the cap again.. Who else can we unload? I want Timmonen back for 1 yr deal, wish we could unload Harts, but that won't happen. Thoughts?

Lol. Sorry guys, should have read the cap situation thread before I posted this. Did not read Bill's blog today. Ironically it's in regard to Hartnell who I'm asking about. Getting rid of Harts contract would be a huge bonus for us. His production is on a decline and for other reasons I wish the Flyers could find a way to get him out.

Rangers aren't winning the Stanley Cup, teams that have to go 7 games in the first two series usually doesn't bode well - as a 1 seed they went 7 games the first two series and it came back to bite them, the Rangers have had a hellacious schedule and to me I think they're going to eventually be cooked

I think the winner of the Bruins/Habs series will represent the East, and I still wouldn't count the Habs out - if they win Game 6 tonight, then Game 7 will be real interesting - Carey Price could steal a game like that and P.K. Subban could be the difference maker

obviously some hurdles (ie 7 mil cap hit) but what do you guys think about spezza? word is the sens are shopping him... him and giroux would make a dynamite 1-2 combo up the middle if they could pull it off. if they can move vinny's salary?

though.. i guess he's a little old.. and you still have a logjam in the middle if you try to keep schenn at center.. i dno, just spitballing.. i want more creativity on the 2nd line
