Hey Mall, nice to see some familiar people. Any see the lines and pairings for tomorrow night? Looks like Simmonds will play. I thought I saw something like:

Schenn - G - Jake
Simmonds - Couts - Read
Raffl - Vinny - Umberger
Rinaldo - Frenchy - Akeson/Jones

Couburn - MacDonald
Streit - Grossmann
Schenn - MDZ

Mason.

If, and that's a big IF, these guys can click we would have 4 decent lines to role out. Schenn has a great chance to go 30 plus with those 2 and top PP minutes. Raffl should also approach 20 after exposure to the league last year. He is fast and is finding his way to the net. My 2nd line will need to play against better opponents as the 3rd is defensively challenged. Cant wait for tomorrow!

Lines look pretty good. I have Mase on my fantasy league. I'm hoping he gets the Vezina and the Calder

I believe that will be the lines Chy. 1st line sick hoping Schenn will kick ass with those two. 2nd line will hopefully do it all shut down and score. 3rd line is the wildcard I'm hoping for a bounce back from Vinny and playing with those two wingers they shouldn't be bad defensively as they are both two way forwards...I think that's the thought behind it. 4th line a good mix of energy with skill they looked great in the preseason. The D will be by committee a good mix of size and speed on each pairing. The forwards are key as they need to play team D this year more than ever. I like the goaltending everyone should be more comfortable back there due to consistency. Now have a better start and make the playoffs!

The concern is the defense without Timonen. I think we've sort of taken him for granted in the past. Guys like Coburn, MacDonald, Schenn and MDZ really have to step up their game or this will be a difficult year for us defensively. The forwards must help out too. Umberger over Hartnell and the new fourth line may assist us in that department.

Well, we do have to wonder what could've been after having come up just two lousy goals short of beating the team that went to the Cup Finals in the East. That said, game seven could've been on our home ice had we acquired only three more points during the season and that may have been enough to get us through. Then the possibilities would've been endless.

I have to take a lot of hope from last season with this bunch given the way that it started out.
