Yep, some NFL teams begin training camp this week-end and in the next two weeks, everyone else will join them as Baseball enters the last 65 games of their season. Before you know it, Hockey will be cranking up its pre-season.

I would consider laughton and a 1st for kane. I don't think I'd go higher.

I say laughton because I think schenn has more offensive potential than laughton and I think read's versatility is too important to include him as a 'throw in' to a trade. he's a 20 goal scorer and shut down player, that's extremely valuable to me.

those jets fan proposals are outrageous. at that price I'd laugh them out of the room.

I think though if we get Kane Schenn has to go the other way. This way Vinny can play center and Kane can replace Harts on left wing.

How do you know what the Jets are asking for I haven't seen anything out there about what the Jets want. So far I only have seen what the fans think they should ask for. I'm pretty sure our organization wouldn't be dumb enough to trade Schenn and Read for Kane.

The article may not be new but Kane is still on the Jets and still wants out and we still need a first line left wing so basically you could write the same article today.

I wouldn't mind Kane on the Flyers. Right now, there is Giroux and a whole lot of second/third line forwards. Just hope Hextall isn't desperate to make a splash and overpays if a trade does happen.

I'm with awaz on this. I like Kane, but I would not deal Schenn or Read in this trade. Laughton and a 1st is fine. Laughton may someday be a fine player, but at least we know what we have in Read and Schenn. I'm not sure what the Jets want in return?

I would go Laughton and a first any day for Kane but we would be way over the cap with a trade like that. I would definitely go Schenn straight up for Kane if they are looking for more it just wasn't meant to happen. That's still leaves us without a top flight left wing.

I think I'll be trying to get Center Ice for next season, some of these games shouldn't be on NBCSN - I know a lot of viewers come from Buffalo and they get good ad revenue but a bottom barrel team should NOT have this many games on National TV, especially when a team like Columbus only gets 1 or 2 games
