1) Perhaps as the 3rd line LW or 4th line C if Laughton isn't ready?

2) Agree

I wonder what ott's contract looks like. I bet he's in high demand.

Doubt he'll move to wing too, if I'm not mistaken he's a beast in the faceoff circle

I actually hate Ott, but he would be a good addition to any team. The flyers don't really need him though?

If they trade for Nabakov's right's I will shit a brick. Trading for a backup goalies rights? What a massive waste that would be. No way in hell they do that. I'm fine with signing him though, 1 year contract to back up mase, that's fine w/ me.

If they re-sign Brayden Schenn and Scott Laughton is up, they won't need a center, unless they would be willing to move someone to the wing

And as for Nabby I agree - that would be the absolute worst thing to do - I'm not really fine with them signing him period - I want a younger goalie, not someone at the end of their career - he doesn't fit the need of bringing in a younger, more agile backup goalie

Ducks aren't bringing back Jonas Hiller, Daniel Winnik and Saku Koivu - you think the Flyers would be interested in Daniel Winnik? He's a solid 3rd-4th line player who can PK well and give them a little speed

Yep. I think I mentioned him before at some point as a possibility for the 3rd line LW spot.

Does anyone blog or like to write? There's a site called hubpages.com where you can make money off of it - I think it's legit but I've been checking stuff to make sure

We should do some stuff together where we write about the Flyers

I'm curious to see what the Flyers are thinking for the upcoming draft? I'm hearing Campbell rumors, especially when they will be taking Ekblad at 1. I want to keep our 1st rounder and keep our young guys if possible? I like Cambell, but he will turn 35 soon. I think I'd rather talk to the Sabres in regard to Tyler Myers.. His stock is probably down? He's young and a change in scenery is probably what he needs.

I know there are people who like Brian Campbell but I wouldn't do it - I know people have linked him for Vinny but the Flyers would have to give up another salaried player to make it work - I would pass

And Tyler Myers has a gigantic contract that I would want no part of

Fuck I swear this world cup is fixed. USA should have had that game. How much friggin injury time do they have to give Portugal? No friggin way that much time should have been added on. Now all the pressure is back on against the Germans. Need a tie if possible.

Went from a fan of soccer to hating soccer within a matter of 10 seconds :L

Was like watching my Pens defense when they have to put a team away.

Word around town was it was gonna be a +4mins of stoppage time added till the last substitution, because that sub happened the ref added a minute to the stoppage time going from 4 to 5mins which was the difference in this game, wow talk about walking the fine line!

It's like they got Bylsma to coach the team.

I just knew it was to good to be true. Have a lead and try to clear the ball out. Heck, how was that dude wide open for the header? The USA defenders are useless.. The goaltender was a stud.

Geoff Cameron.

Also the answer to, 'who plays professional soccer and can still partially whiff a clear straight to his opponent?'

They're still in good shape I think. Coming in to the tournament, after the groups were announced, a win over Ghana and a draw with Portugal is what I wanted. Should've been able to hold on last night given how the game played out, but a draw is still a good result.

Scenarios

1. USA win/draw vs Germany and they're through.

2. USA loss, Portugal/Ghana draw and the USA is through

3. USA loss, Portugal win, Portugal would have to overcome a -4 to +1 goal differential difference to knock out the USA. (ie, USA loses 1-0, Portugal wins 5-0). A tie on goal differential would go to cumulative goals in the tourney (stupid), then a random draw.

4. USA loss, Ghana win, Ghana would have to overcome a -1 to +1 goal differential difference to knock out the USA (ie, USA loses 1-0, Ghana wins 2-0). A tie on goal differential would go to cumulative goals in the tourney (stupid), then to head to head.
