I can't be the only one who's incredibly doubtful that there's enough here for a full length movie, can I?

Oh dont forget they will throw in the obligatory made up Kevin Costner role with love interest.

Well they will probably make up a relative or former teammate who is battling a serious disease that Scott "is playing for".

Or maybe Powers Booth is planning to blow up the arena and Scott had to stop him.

The book was 61 pages and had (not making this up) 236 words.

Hollywood can do it.

Someone needs to Michael Bay-ize the gif of Scott hitting Kane.

Maybe a big ballad theme song kinda like "I dont want to go to the penalty box, cause I'll miss you babe, and I dont want to miss a thing"

Well, the screenplay might just include Scott doing a lap around the ice at top speed. That'll take up a good 30 minutes.

He could probably trim it down to 25 minutes if he got some coaching from FASTET SKATAR EVAR Dylan Larkin

The book isn't a real-life story (like Highlander) though. They could make up anything they wanted to fill in the time. If you go too far with that with the John Scott thing suddenly you're telling an entirely different (untrue) story and making an entirely different (untrue) movie.

There's a lot to Scott's story people don't know. Apparently as he was growing up on the mean streets of Edmonton - he was homeless for a while. A nice African American Canadian family, the Whites, took Scott in and gave him a home. They tried to get him to play hockey, but he wasn't interested. The youngest White child, Bob, was a hockey player and was having liberties taken against him because he was small and did choreographed goal celebrations. Mrs. White talked John into playing hockey to protect her son. In exchange for that she arranged for him to get a mechanical engineering degree and for him to have twins. He also like dinosaurs.

Wait. I saw that movie. "The Longest Pass". Sandy B plays the adoptive mother.
