According to belacher report Fuller's at his best as a deep threat tracking the long ball. That's exactly what we needed out of that #2 spot...

Glad to see the draft had depth. Then again, it seems that almost every team is Superbowl bound after the draft is done. A little while later, reality sets in.

Ya, I have to agree with vulture here.

It was obvious we drafted for need, (guys trying to save jobs) Maybe that's why I'm happy.

They should have been doing it three years ago.

Still happy with the 1st 3 rounds, no complaints.

Were still a 8-8 team and we won't get the fancy #5 pick next year.

Will Cambell got drafted so I guess it makes the score

Ghana 2
Michigan 2

Sounds like it will end in a tie barring a shootout.

I think we are really missing the boat in the second half of the draft. Don't get me wrong, its not terrible. It just is not as good as it should be. A Punter who had 1 good year in the 5th round though will get terrible grades for sure.

No wonder they traded down.

What is going on with Jordan Poyer and Bacarri Rambo still being on the board? I read alot about them and every mock had them gone by the 3rd round. Wonder what happened to them?

Would love to see the Lions take a shot with Da'Rick Rogers. Another bigger WR with a 40" vertical, BUT he has off the field issues.

I've heard some on here asking about Chase Thomas -- He is dropping because his 40 time was slower than some OL. Not sure he'd be a good fit for the Lions.

Cornelius Washington is another guy I wouldn't mind the Lions taking a shot on. Crazy athletic ability, but like Taylor, didn't really translate to the field. Worth taking a flier on.

Agreed all around. Poyer would be a great pick this late, Rambo too.

I'd roll the dice on Rogers this late, can't hurt to take the risk, big payoff if we hit on it.

Chase Thomas was productive, but s-l-o-w. Might be worth a shot in the 7th.

Cornelius Washington is a very interesting OLB/DE tweener, reminds me a lot of Ronnell Lewis, actually. If we could mold him into a 4-3 OLB he has great size and measurables for the position...

Exactly. When you're targeting a punter in the 5th round, you can trade back without too much of a worry.

i think Washington could play either DE or OLB. he is 6'4" 265 lbs. he ran a 4.55 at the combine, put up 225 36 times and had a 39" vertical.

can't say i know much about his production on the field, but seems like a guy you could put in the wide 9 and just tell him to go get the QB and he'd be alright, especially this late in the draft.

The only issue with him at DE is that he's essentially a Ronnell Lewis clone, and we have 5 DEs right now.

If we drafted him either he or Lewis would have to move to OLB, I would think

I'd prefer a true linebacker who excells at defending the run/pass in open space. I'd grab Ramon Buchanan, or Chase Thomas, in a heartbeat at this point.
