Yea, those are student seats. :L

OMG that is horribly embarrassing.

According to some Michigan fans on the CFB general board, those are not student seats anymore. They moved the students over because they weren't buying enough tickets, and those are just tickets for sale. Either way, it's pretty shitty.

It would be easy to stage that as an interweb joke.

The Coke display is meant for advertising. Use Photo-shop to create the sign. Print it out and slide it into the display.

Drop two tickets in front of it with two bottles of Coke.

Boom. Great joke.

The interwebz are a wonderful place to fool the gullible.

They're giving them away in the student union though.

So that makes me wonder. Their student section was like 1/3 full last week for that Utah game.

Anyone see anything about the environmental group that is trying to get Nebraska to stop the balloon tradition? :wtf2:

We even made the Wall of Shame!

Nebraska Huskers | Balloons Blow? Don't Let Them Go!

Nebraska Huskers justifies their game day littering by claiming their balloons “shatter into small pieces” & are “biodegradable”. The proof that this statement is false is beginning to fall over the countryside…
At every home game Nebraska Huskers has been releasing thousands of balloons as soon as they hit the scoreboard. This time honored tradition began over 60 years ago. There was some concern over Helium supplies in 2012, but UNL felt those issues were resolved and continue with their regular mass littering events. The University of Nebraska-Lincoln also includes balloon releases at homecoming events, memorials, and celebrations. We understand the University is making efforts to be more sustainable. However, wasting a finite resource and tossing thousands of pieces of trash to litter the countryside and endanger wildlife is a tradition that needs to come to an end.

Have they been informed that the Iowegians pick them up when they come down?

It's really not a problem.

"...continue their regular mass littering events."

:pound:

I'm just in awe that someone has the desire to devote their lives to preventing people from letting balloons go :L

I started looking at the Facebook group...I really wish I wouldn't have. I honestly am dumbfounded that people have so little to do that they can get all worked up about something like this. They are rallying people to vote in a HuskerMax poll.

I just realized that they sound like Nebraska fans and online polls :L

They claim that all the animals eat those balloons and then choke and die. This is where I have trouble understanding. Why would an animal want to eat a balloon? Why wouldn't they want to eat food? If an animal comes across a dirty smelling piece of rubber, they're going to just walk away.

All they need to do is write "Not For Animal Consumption" on them, and they'll be fine.

My dog has eaten a balloon before and passed it just fine. There was a turd, a piece of balloon attached, and another turd on the other side.
