Hey Net! Can ya help a brother out? Our ritual team is traveling to Phoenix for the Elk's Grand Convention for competition. Can you arrange a tee time for about 4 of them for Monday morning at a course near the downtown Sheraton? They are thinking green/cart fees aroung $60.00 each and will need rental clubs also.

Apparently, Washington HAS been pressured over the name. While their logo isn't offensive (I think it's based on the Indian on the old Buffalo Nickle), a lot of native peoples have a problem with the name "Redskins."

Which begs the question......should the name of the little red potatoes be changed?

Or should the Washington team abandon the Indian head logo, and put a picture of the little potatoes on their helmets?

what pisses me of is that as far as i understand they are being pushed to make the mascot change by the fed......but i don't hear anyone bitching about utah, san diego state, florida state, or even the fucking washington redskins!

It may not make the news, but they be bitchin about FSU's mascot with the others, tried to have it banned as offensive BUT the Seminole tribe gave the Noles their blessing so Cheif Osceola continues to ride Renegade and throw down the spear to open the games...
