What is surprising about this game?

Don’t read any headlines or recaps but look around:

It took me a while, but Houston scored 19 points in the second half.

I wonder why Westbrook was out.

That is not extraordinary though. This game where the Hornets scored 16 points in a half is better.

Yes, 19 in second half. But that’s only half of what is notable about that game.

Can you answer whether you are happy about Conley Jr.? You just chucked a bunch of numbers into a post.

Also can you please answer this?

I have no idea. It’s better than last year. I like his current assists. But I haven’t seen a game in a long time and I don’t know how he’s doing nor the alternatives.

Stockton’s team, USC is my undergraduate school, and I wanted BYU to lose and have the hardest path.

Thanks. Would you also root for Malone's team, if they were in it?

I would root for them to finish second place. Right where he wants it. Just kidding. But I did tell people that I was used to finishing second because the Utes and Jazz lost in championship games/rounds. So Gonzaga losing was expected.

I can't find anything else.

They scored 73 points in the first half. So 73 take away 19 is the biggest first half second-half swing. I don’t know what the reverse situation is (scoring that much more in second half).

No it wasn't! They were the best team in College Basketball. :(

I've never thought about games, in terms of first half and 2nd half differential.

Thanks.

This truly does belong then in "The Nuraman Thread", since it's something we can watch for from now onwards.

Stanley! This is why you are on the bench. 3-7. :( But I should instead single out Martin for going 2-5. (Didn’t notice that initially.)

San Antonio called a timeout 40 seconds into the game.

11:20.0San Antonio full timeout 0-5

Has there ever been a faster timeout called, from the game's start?

Thoughts, @MHSL82?

I'm not sure there's another player in history that could do this.

Apparently it's only been done 3x, and Chamberlain has 1, Westbrook has 2.

Great to see him play well, and efficiently, the past few months.

The Spurs waited 4 minutes, 49 seconds this time before calling their first timeout.

Has Stockton ever had a game with 2 or fewer FGAs, 0 FTAs?

And if so, in how many of these games did the Jazz lose by 15+?

The only times the league leader in steals won Defensive Player Of The Year:

1986: Alvin Robertson, 3.67
1988: Michael Jordan, 3.16
1996: Gary Payton, 2.85
2015: Kawhi Leonard, 2.31
2017: Draymond Green, 2.03
