BTW, not to say that I'm obsessed with you, but my speech recognition on my iPhone recognizes and spells Nuraman correctly and spell check will suggest it while I type Nura...

This is a phone that will correct John Lennon to "John a Lennon." :smh: it is routinely correctly spelled words to words that aren't actually words.

When someone from another board types my SN, his phone auto-corrects it to "Nuts Ana" or a few other variations. I can't remember what the most recent auto-correct was, "Nuts Ana" was the funniest so far.

Don't put this in a thread bearing my name.

I disagree with a smattering of things in that article, and think it's looking too much at what teams are doing in the short-term, this offseason. A trend is more meaningful when it's been happening for several years, not just something dictated by this offseason's free agency, and the constraints and planning certain teams had.

What did you think of the article?

This thread is for statistical articles, not Nuraman-endorsed ideas.

I don't pay enough attention to big men play to really comment.

You're confusing me. And others. With this thread title.

I don't pay enough attention to big men play

Why?

Especially with the polarizing bigs (Favors, Kanter, Gobert) that are on the team right now. Most people have an opinion on them. What is yours?

You have Malone, a poor man's Malone, or you don't. We don't.

So you do pay attention to the Jazz big men. You just don't think they're good.

They're third level until they aren't. They will need to prove it. Boozer was a poor man's Malone with Malone like abilities. Jefferson was on the border of that (on the good side). Duncan would be a Malone (but not a PF in my opinion).

I had a Nuraman moment. I was watching a cartoon television show with my daughter and they had the character stand on a scale to be weighed. When he got off the scale the lever wasn't level. So obviously the scale was not calibrated. That sounded like something that Nuraman would notice.

Thanks. You didn't have to qualify that you were watching the cartoon with your daughter.

Just the fact that you were watching a cartoon was enough information.

I locked the thread for comments just so to keep it from getting mucked up with a lot of talk, but wanted to know what you think of it. Some stats are irrelevant, those I know. Are there other stats that I can figure out ONLY by seeing a box score that I don't have already there.

I wanted to trend it, but I'm waiting for ten games to do so. I figure there's no real good by creating a new post every game plus a new post to track trends every game. But I do have totals there. I will save the totals frozen after 10 and update the real ones. If there's something major like Exum starting over Trey, I might break that 10 game rule and start some other tracking - not sure of what.

grimm010 once started a thread, a year after the game, called "I still can't get over the Miami choke."

It was about the above referenced 2009 3OT game against Miami.

grimm010 should repeat this line, but for the 2017 game.

Has anyone played a game against Team A, then traded, then played that same Team A again for their new team?

I'll bet this has happened in MLB, where there's a lot more players and trades overall.

Any statistical anamoly, chart, graph, whatever should be added here, as these things are more apt for comparisons. It'd be cool to see a player's current play compared to comments made on previous play, etc.

Plus, we could see if we ever found the magical box score where everyone on one team shot 50% or above and everyone on the other shot 50% or below. We've gotten so close! (I am not a dork about everything, but this, yes.)

Are you mad at Obi Toppin and Alec Burks?
