I mean it's not a landslide, but hell Kingman played first base and he still had a better WAR in nearly 2000 less PA's. He also had a better OPS and wRC+, a better wOBA and a better WAA. I don't see any way you spin it where you can say Carter is better, especially by a "landslide" as OBX said (not putting him down, I think a lot of people value Carter over Kingman)
Yeah, I'll give you that. My initial thought was that Carter would be much better, which he certainly wasn't. Kingman was known as a one trick pony (albeit it was a pretty good trick. He actually hit more homeruns per at bat than Hank Aaron), but when I compared them I saw that according to the stats Carter was also very bad at defense.

I was way off on that last one. I guess Paul Konerko's gaudy homerun totals swayed my opinion but Lynn was clearly better.

Trot Nixon or Jermaine Dye?
Something tells me Dye's power in the steroid era will really deflate the impact of that power, and (if I'm remembering right) he didn't have a good OBP, so I'm going with Nixon. (Now I'm going to sweat it out looking up their stats).

Raul Mondesi or Ken Caminiti?

I would take Brett, but Winfield's numbers are better than most think.
