Yeah, I'll give you that. My initial thought was that Carter would be much better, which he certainly wasn't. Kingman was known as a one trick pony (albeit it was a pretty good trick. He actually hit more homeruns per at bat than Hank Aaron), but when I compared them I saw that according to the stats Carter was also very bad at defense.I mean it's not a landslide, but hell Kingman played first base and he still had a better WAR in nearly 2000 less PA's. He also had a better OPS and wRC+, a better wOBA and a better WAA. I don't see any way you spin it where you can say Carter is better, especially by a "landslide" as OBX said (not putting him down, I think a lot of people value Carter over Kingman)
