While I would favor the Packers to win I do think we would have a legitimate chance to take them on.

For starters we're a better cold weather team than the Packers are so playing in Green Bay really wouldn't be that big of advantage to the Packers and if it's a bad weather game that actually works more to our favor.

Secondly the Packers aren't really good at stopping the run. So if we can run on them, sustain drives, and score on most of them we keep Aaron Rodgers off the field which to me is the biggest key to beating them.

Defensively is obviously where the trouble is but we do have a pretty good defensive line that can generate pressure. Which is good because that enables you to devote more guys to coverage to limit Rodgers option when pressured and increases the odds of him throwing an interception.

Again I would favor the Packers to win against us but I don't buy the notion that we can't compete and you need an offense that can keep up with Aaron Rodgers.

I mean you remember how awesome that Pat's 07 offense was? They only managed 14 points in the Super Bowl so it's not like the Giants had Eli Manning win in a shootout with Tom Brady and I think the same thing applies to the Packers.

yep, during the play-offs, defenses usually rise up and perform better. the trend is changing yes, but IMO not enough to think offense.

What makes you think Dallas or NY would beat the Packers?

Because I'm not a moron from Chico who thinks that somehow Rodgers' success will erase my life's failures...

The Packers and Patriots are nearly identical teams this year. The Patriots are scoring 28.8 points a game, and while the Packers are now at 35.6 PPG (which is a little inflated thanks to a cupcake schedule including Vikings and Broncos). These teams are both winning with QBs who are playing great and passing games that are tough to match up with, while not running very well, and both have horrible pass defenses.

If the Giants can slow down and outgun Tom Brady and the Patriots, they certainly have the ability to do the same thing to the Packers. Brady and Rodgers are playing at the same level, the only difference is Brady has had the misfortune of having about 4 or 5 passes tipped or deflected and flop right into the defenders hands. So, if the Giants can get Brady and company off their game, they can do the same to the Packers.

Dallas pretty much did the same thing to the Patriots as the Giants did, slowed them down to 20 points and were just a better performance from Romo away from beating the Patriots. So, this tells me that if Tony Romo is on a heater, like he was against the Bills, if/when they play the Packers. And throw in a defensive effort like they did against the Patriots... the Cowboys can win.

Manning and Romo are both capable of putting up a game to outscore the Packers, and they have good enough teams to support them in such an effort. Does this guarantee that they will?? No, but you'd need to have some irrational bias in order to overlook the possibility of the Cowboys or Giants beating the Packers considering how well both teams matched up with the Patriots who are very very similar to Green Bay.

If the Giants pass rushers (JPP, Osi, Kiwanuka) start going ape-shit in the playoffs like they did a few years back, and given the fact that I galso I think the Giants run D can bottle up the Packers running game, the Giants could beat the Packers.

Rodgers is playing lights out, but the Packers team has weaknesses. Their O line is not the greatest and Rodgers is getting hit quite a bit, their run game and run D is not that great.

The Packers are beatable.
