Southampton sign Stekelenburg, who has played 13 league matches in the past two seasons, on loan from Fulham.

Can't see the logic here unless he's just a backup to Forster. He's been awful since Roma.

Here's another thing I don't understand - Leroux would no doubt be in the starting 11 for Canada every game, yet she seems okay with occasionally starting for the US but more often than not coming off the bench and playiing maybe a quarter of the game.

I haven't looked at Forster's contract situation, but it's quite likely a team might put in an offer that is too rich for the Saints to match.

BRONZE!!

Julie Stewart-Binks @JSB_FOX
England's Lucy Bronze told me today on facing Canada, "the Queen's on the coin for a reason."

She typically starts about 2/3 - 3/4 of games over the last couple of years, so who knows if there isn't some type of injury or conditioning issue that's keeping her from being able to play a full 90.

Actually just read he had knee surgery and will be out for a while. Makes sense now.

Of course, if Man U do sell De Gea to Real I could see them snapping up Forster.

He certainly played well for the Saints until he got injured last season.

This is exactly why we should become a republic yesterday. Fuck England, fuck the queen and fuck her spoiled inbred offspring.

Hey, my mind is made up, don't confuse me with actual facts.

I think the US coach feels pressure to start Waaaaambach ... once Waaaaambach goes away (anytime now would be ok with me) Leroux probably takes that role with Morgan

I do have to come clean, I have a soft spot for England with my dad born and raised in Southampton - That said, my support on Saturday is 100% behind the Canadian gals.
