Southampton are closing in on appointing Mauricio Pellegrino as their new manager and a deal could be done before the end of the week.

The Saints are after a new man in charge following the axing of Claude Puel and Pellegrino is the latest to be linked with the role.

The 45-year-old has experienced life in the Premier League before after being an assistant to Rafa Benitez at Liverpool while he was also a big success last season at Alaves in Spain.

Wasn't enough to complete the comeback though. Portugal U21's first regulation loss in 5 years.

Both Italy and Germany through to the semis if they tie their final game (assuming they both win tomorrow). I'm sure there will be no nefarious dealings behind the scenes :rolleyes2:
