NBA TV has these 5 players listed as current MVP favorites:

Giannis
Harden
Westbrook
Cousins
Griffin

Seriously?

No LeBron? What more does he have to do? If the early season losing record thing is the reason, then why are Cousins and Westbrook on the list?

It is literally insane not to have LBJ in the top 3 right now, let alone top 5.

Time for some love other rookies that aren't being talked about. John Collins looks like the stud that I thought he could be. Looking like the every night double double threat he was at Wake

Team record plays a fact too. While the Cavs won't be bottom of the pack for the rest of the season, guys like Harden and Griffin will top him for that reason alone.

Westbrook and Cousins have bad records too though.

And to keep the conversation balanced with Ball/Simmons hype...

If Simmons maintains his current averages he will be on the 5th player in NBA history to average 10 pts, 9 rebounds and 8 assists a game. The other 4? Oscar Robertson, Wilt Chamberlain, Magic Johnson, and Russell Westbrook

Pretty good company to keep.

Boston is more like a Kyrie and Horford show right now... those two are like peas and carrots.

I agree.

I think while Kyrie is playing better than ever in many areas, he is part of a true team (that is a very good thing) not an individual carrying a team like typical MVPs who win the award.

Watched Donovan Mitchell tonight. His shot was off but he looked lively and could be a pretty darn good player.

Pretty decent game from Dennis Smith last night in a win against the Wizards.
Simmons was a little off last night watching the game. With Embiid not playing and the Jazz having a pretty big front court, the Sixers played Simmons at the 4 when McConnell was on the court. Kinda kept Simmons out of the game a little and his shot was off. Still wound up with 16 points 13 rebounds 3 blocks and 3 steals but with 6 turnovers.
Donovan Mitchell struggled with his shot going 3-21 but I did like what I saw from him.
De'Aron Fox looks like he was ok last night. 5-10 with 8 assists but 5 turnovers. Didn't see any of that game.

Collins and Kuzma, big surprises. We got this kid Semi who is just a defensive machine and can hit threes

At first I thought you meant in their rookie year . . . but you mean, ever?
