Easily understood. I drink bitter ales so drinking something a little sweet seems odd to me.
You drink beers which are inherently sweeter. You would not notive the Guiness being somewhat sweet?????
Simply a matter of taste! :suds:
... and Guiness qualifies as a light beer.

A good beer is a good beer. Calling a beer "micro brew" does not change that.
Not sure what is meant by this. But okay! My point in my comment was that most of the Microbrew Beers I have tried are trash, and I honestly feel people get caught up in the uniqueness of it all.

That's my exact point. Without vilifying all microbrews, many are fine, but slapping the title on shouldn't give it any latitude. A bitter beer should be bitter. But beers that are not meant to be bitter should not get a pass because they are microbrews.

Had a micro-brewery in Manchester that was horrible. They nearly went out of business and changed completely to brewing mead. It was incredible and they are incredibly successful. At least they were honest with themselves and stopped trying to pass off piss for purity.

I won't disagree some make it, Sam Adams started like that. Issue I have is they try to replicate a proven product or come up with some horrible original and want to charge a premium for swill

Some change an ingredient to get a different flavor or taste. It's the difference between a tenderloin and a top round. For,others it's the difference between a tenderloin and a wharf rat.

Does wharf rat qualify as seafood?

Agreed....

My kid said PBR is enjoyed by a lot of people in his age group that shit is horrible
I'm fine with it, especially on a hot day. I hold a similar sentiment for garden variety Bud.

To each his own.

I drank A LOT of Bud. It was the beer of choice when power drinking.
It was not a beer of choice when just enjoying a beer. Michelob was my choice back then. Or a Mich Light. Do they even still brew that?
Labatt Blue, Molson Golden, Moosehead or Brador were other choices, again when not power drinking. But we had to cross the border to get the good stuff.

PBR was pretty much scoffed at where I was. Might be a regional thing.

I'm allergic to Bud. In fact I'm allergic to all Annhauser Busch products. I'm also allergic to all their imports - such asHeineken, etc.
Annhauser Busch is the leading consumer of Sodium Metabisulfate.= gives me convulsions, nausea, rash and my skin falls off. Not the buzz I'm looking for!
Canadian beers contain no sodium metabisuphite by law. One of the reasons Canadian beers tastes so good! When the import it, like so many imports, they add the sodium metabisulphite to increase shelf-life.
In my younger days, I drank plenty of Annhauser busch products from the keg. No sulphites!
I remember getting Busch kegs for $17 - made for one hell of a cheap party!
In Okinawa, we had a hard time getting the best ales shipped. They did not use sulphites and the long shipping and shelf time made the best companies say no.If it was on the shelf, it had sulphites in it or it was from Germany/Denmark.

I can still remember my mother getting sick of 2 Budweisers. I turned her on to Coors, which is not high quality beer but it is very clean!
Budweiser uses Sodium Metabisulphite to hide the fact that it is a shitty beer!

Wow!

No, not the buzz you're after!

I'll remember that if I ever decide to drink again!

Probably why we always went to Canada to buy "Good Beer".

So my vide today is a question. Sometimes people get caught up in the music, or the rythmn of a song the flow and delivery and never really listen intently to the lyrics. Or perhaps never fully understood the lyrics. Would this song today be realeased if it were done today and would it see any air play.

Not For The Woke.

Gold Coast slave ship bound for cotton fields
Sold in the market down in New Orleans
Skydog slaver knows he's doin' all right ( Scarred Ole Slaver) not Skydog slaver it was a copy and past
Hear him whip the women just around midnight

Brown sugar, how come you taste so good?
Brown sugar, just like a young girl should

Drums beatin' cold, English blood runs hot
Lady of the house wonderin' when it's gonna stop
House boy knows that he's doin' all right
You should have heard him just around midnight

Brown sugar, how come you taste so good, now?
Brown sugar, just like a young girl should (yeah)

Brown sugar, how come you dance so good, babe?
Brown sugar, just like a black girl should, yeah

And I bet your mama was a tent show queen
And all her boyfriends were sweet sixteen
I'm no school boy but I know what I like
You should have heard them just around midnight

Brown sugar, how come you taste so good, baby?
Brown sugar, just like a young girl should, yeah

I said, yeah, yeah, yeah, woo
How come you, how come you dance so good?
Yeah, yeah, yeah, woo
Just like a, just like a black girl should
Yeah, yeah, yeah, woo
