I love how every one of them does something different.
A second new charred oak barrel vs a new charred french oak barrel, vs a toasted barrel, vs original barrel with new toasted staves added and aged longer vs aged longer in a port barrel vs toasted maple...the possibilities are staggering.
Yes.

I want to do a Bourbon tour in Tenn or Ken it's on the list

Don't they arrest anyone making whisky in Tenn if they call it Bourbon?
What is Tennessee Whiskey?

Bourbon that has been charcoal filtered.

What is Bourbon?

Whiskey that is...

Produced in the U.S. and its Territories (Puerto Rico), as well as the District of Columbia
Made from a grain mixture that is at least 51% corn
Aged in new, charred oak containers
Distilled to no more than 160 (U.S.) proof (80% alcohol by volume)
Entered into the container for aging at no more than 125 proof (62.5% alcohol by volume)
Bottled (like other whiskeys) at 80 proof or more (40% alcohol by volume)

What is cheese? Milk that has been processed and aged. Does that mean cheese is milk?

All kidding aside, I've heard Kentucky likes to claim Bourbon as 100% their own and gets very defensive about it.

What is bourbon exactly?

Bourbon is a type of whiskey and, as with most spirits, there are rules to how it must be made. Bourbon must be produced in the U.S. and contain at least 51 percent corn in the mash bill (that’s distiller lingo for "mix of grains"); the rest can be other grains, such as rye, wheat and/or malted barley. It also must be aged in new, charred oak barrels, according to the Department of the Treasury Alcohol & Tobacco Tax & Trade Bureau. When the bourbon goes in the barrel, it must be no more than 125 proof (62.5% alcohol by volume or ABV) then bottled at a minimum of 80 proof (40% ABV). Why the discrepancy? Producers will often dilute the barrel-proof bourbon with water to make it more palatable straight out of

I think that is true and most distillers are in Kentucky.

Lots of folklore but lots of Kentuckians do.

Zinus.

Seriously.

I bought my first Zinus about 5 years ago when we moved into an apartment...Long story, didn't want to get caught with two mortgages when we relocated..
We put our king size in storage and my wife and I used the queen from our guest bedroom that still had the original 20 + year old mattress that had only been used a couple doze times. Nope.
A friend recommended the Zinus. WOW. We got a queen gel/coil for $500+/-.
When we bought a new house Our daughter inherited the queen and we got our king out of storage. That $3000 Stearns & Foster gel/coil hybrid just couldn't cut it. A new Zinus king gel/coil for $800. I haven't been to the chiropractor since 2017. I used to go every month sometimes every week since...1993. Literally.
We then upgraded my son to a Zinus as well.

Comes in the mail, vacuum packed. Cut it open and let it unroll and expand. You have to wait 24 hours before sleeping on it. WELL worth it.

I'll look into it. I have a bad back and will not go to the Chiropractor, they freak me out. So I need a really firm mattress some of the Hybrids don't offer Firm or if they do it's still a tad soft. But I will research Zinus

They have Gel or Gel/Coil Hybrid. The hybrid has 3 different thicknesses. 10", 12" and 14" The 10" is the firmest and the 14 the most cushy.

I have the 12" because I'm non committal...

I need a new mattress. Every time I start looking, I am befuddled.
Sleep number has an $850 matress they are closing out. Is it any good?:noidea:
I shopped Sleep number awhile back, after sleeping on one at a hotel. It was a hotel model and unavailable to the public!
I see lots of bells and whistles. Every brand claims to be the best!
Reviews are all over the place!
I never have a hard time shopping for what I want but I just can't pull the trigger.

Paid almost 13k for our Tempur-Pedic (about 6 months ago). Wife loves it. I’m not impressed with it at all.
And oddly enough if she was the one that wanted it no way she would say she doesn't like it. At least that's how my ole lady is. It's to close to admitting she was wrong.

We both sleep hot so I was interested in the cooling technology starting to think it might be cheaper just to run the A/C at 70 while we sleep

We sleep hot also. The bed’s cooling features keep it about 5 degrees cooler than the room temp which I keep at 69 degrees. We have cooling pillows also. It does have a massage/vibration feature too. It does help me fall asleep quicker.
