If ohio state wins out, they will have been battle tested by Penn State, Michigan and (most likely) Minnesota, that will give them an edge over Clemson. A weak ACC has not really challenged Clemson (no fault of Clemson).

If teams could suit up SOS for the playoffs then I would believe you. But from previous playoff matchups, having the stronger SOS haven’t made much of a difference

I think you are mostly right ... but it is a different mindset when you have to come from behind, or you play in an intimidating stadium. I have Clemson as my #1 seed because they deserve it.

1. Clemson
2. ohio state
3. LSU
4. Oregon

Clemson looks the strongest to make it ... they are solid and the ACC isn't
ohio state and LSU look good to win out, but may make it if they don't
The Oregon/Utah PAC Championship game could provide a #4
The Big 12 Championship (Oklahoma and Baylor) could provide a #4
I think Alabama may be out with Tua's injury
Georgia is going to wave to win out
Minnesota and Penn State are going to have to win out and look impressive doing it

That's about the way I see it.

IMO neither needs to be in the playoffs. Can't see OU slowing down Clem, tOSU or LSU.

Baylor's defense MIGHT...IF THE DAMN OFFENSE DOESN'T MAKE THEM STAY ON THE FIELD FOR 25 MINUTES A HALF!
