With Hamilton. No foul ball strikes and a completely different SB recordings make Hamilton not draftable to me. Though he does belong in the Hall
Fair enough but you can also look at it like he played by the rules of the time and was so much better than everyone else at what he did. His stats do count, there's no asterisk...
Yea he dominated his era sure, which is why he should be in the Hall. It's just not an era that I value very highly.

League Average OBP was like 60 points higher than once they adopted the foul ball strikes rule.
When Hamilton's ONP was .520 there were 3 or 4 guys over .500.
It's was a really different game.
