lol.... some 55 year old chick gets chosen to shoot for a million....
20 pucks from the far blueline, the whole net to shoot at....
I don't think she got a single one past the hashmarks.

Why can't I ever get a chance like that?

Does anyone know when the entry draft is? Maybe have a link to the player ratings for the draft? I know I can count on my Canadian brothers :thumb:

Congrats Julian! That was an awesome game. Nice to see Saint John bring the Memorial Cup to Eastern Canada for this first time in 5 years.

I saw plenty of RNH in the Dub and after watching Huberdeau at this tourney, I'd take Jonathan if I were the Oilers.

It's all downhill for the kids going to the NHL. Next time they win a cup, BETTMANN will present it to them.

Not a great last 5 months for Mississauga coach Dave Cameron:

lost the gold medal game at the World Juniors
lost game 7 in OT of the OHL Championship
lost the Memorial Cup final tonight.

Keep him away from anything sharp.

What a difference 1 year can make. Jacob DeSerres gave up 9 goals to the Windsor Spitfires last year while playing with Brandon. I don't know how he ended up in Saint John, but it certainly worked out well for him & the Sea Dogs. Congrats to Saint John & their fans.

I'm convinced now that Huberdeau WON'T be wearing an Islanders or Devils Jersey on draft day. He's going to be selected in the top 3.

This Atlantic Division fan is perfectly fine with that.

That doesn't mean the Devils or Islanders couldn't trade up to get him you know.

:/ Not like it really matters, you're gonna get a good one in the top 5. I know this years draft was regarded as thin, but I think there's still a very very good crop of talent available.

Thanks! I tried to rep you but need to spread it around. This is the 1st time any team east of Quebec (a.k.a. Maritimes) has ever won the Memorial Cup. Saint John was also the last Maritime city to win the Calder Cup before switching over from the AHL to the QMJHL like the rest of the Maritimes. Fans in Moncton and Halifax who have been in the league so much longer must be absolutely furious right now and I love it! Especially the Moncton fans who were so cocky after beating us in the QMJHL finals last year.:D

Exactly! Huberdeau rising means someone else is going to fall to 5 and not necessarily because they had a poor finish to their season.

Julian, congrats on the win! Can't wait to take Despres off your hands :) Although our D-corps are quite crowded at the moment...still, Despres is world class talent, and seriously close to NHL ready, and I'm absolutely PUMPED to watch him play up here.
