yah those reasons are part of the problem as well as Chips quick tempo failure!
I don't think we've seen the end of the quick tempo offense in the NFL. It's not always a quick tempo too, it's line 'em up quick, without substituting, see if you have a mismatch or not from the quick tempo line up and if you do snap it, if not take your time and call your best play.

As I recall, the Jim Kelly Buffalo Bills were one of the first to use the quick tempo offensive schemes (Got 'em to FOUR straight SB's!), only difference with Chip's is the modifications that have come along the way. Not all good too, because it stresses the defense.

If Chip doesn't find an HC spot in the NFL, I can see him going to a team that is in dire need of some offense as their OC for a couple of years. I hear he wants to stay in the NFL and not move back down to the college ranks.

Hummm, Chip in horns?

Nick Foles knows his system, and Chip would have that elite RB to tear it up and hell the defense is use to being on the field all the time anyways....

Could be a good fit, if Fisher could let go of a few things or two!

Its been around a long time!
An up tempo offense doesn't necessarily spend less time on the field... unless they cant execute then go 3 and out of course(like Philly)... it just means they get to the line faster for a couple reasons ...

to limit substitutions and to make pre snap adjustments

I wouldn't want Chip as a HC, but I would take him as an OC in a heartbeat. Maybe that's what this team needs more of is a no huddle offense. Every team has one but some only use it as a 2 minute drill only. Some like Green Bay use it all of the time! Some use it on and off. It does take a lot of skill to run and of course you have to communicate well to keep the tempo going and the chains moving. When a no-huddle/hurry-up attack operates at optimal speed, the defense is at the offense's mercy, and defensive coordinators are rendered helpless on the sideline.

In the Washington game last week Jason Peters takes himself out of the game in the 4th qtr for no reason. @ 2 days later they fire Chip.

Report: Jason Peters took himself out

See I am out of it.. I had no idea on that.

To Washington's credit.. Rams D got smoked by them too. But our offense was barely on the field.

I thought about this, but someone would need to slap him in the back of the head when he starts going pass, pass, pass.
I actually like the play calling for the Rams the past few weeks.. I know call me crazy..

the answer to that up-tempo offense is keep drilling the QB. mix up blitzes and get after the QB. a few good shots to the QB will slow down an offense real quick.

The biggest problem the Eagles O has is they can't run the ball. Look at the pass attempts sam had. They know he's going to throw it.

Sammy throws the ball alot because they don't do anything early in games and are behind! It's called catch up, throwing against the prevent defense, also called garbage time stats!

I remember that game! It was a Monday night game and they laid down on purpose just so that they could make substitutions! Not sure who our offensive coordinator was at the time, but it worked moving the ball down the field! But we didn't stick with it the whole game though!

I do agree somewhat. I have liked the playcalling the past couple games in the first half. But it's seemed like in the 2nd half that they take the foot off the throttle a little bit and have given the other teams a lot of opportunities to get back in the game. I just wish that they could continue what they do in the first half of games and continue that into the second half.

It's irritating because he is doing good and it pisses you off. If he got hurt or was playing bad you guys would be letting me know about it , so suck it up haha!

Well, since he joined a 10-6 team (two consecutive seasons), drove them to at best a 7 win team and got his coach fired in the process, I would saw it's not about any perceived improvement.

Go discuss your player from another team elsewhere. Maybe you can drum up some interest for him on another team's site as the free agent he's about to become.

The speculative talk is that Kelly is headed to Tennessee where he'll re-unite with his college QB in Mariota. No, Sammie is not going with him at this point. Now we will see just how many people will be "lining up" to sign Sammie for his sought-after services as Cougie has consistently maintained.

I could see him in Cleveland as well (although the cold weather games won't work well with his system). Their roster seems well-tailored to his fast break style (pass catching TE in Barnidge, multiple fast WR/KR types, both a one-cut RB in Crowell and a pass-catching quick back in Duke Johnson, etc). Titans have Mariota, but need major improvement just about everywhere else.

All we need is a somewhat mobile, smart QB who won't LOSE us games Coug.. Our Oline needs a bit more help and we need to keeping beefing up on defense. What you don't understand for some reason is that we are NOT a pass happy team. Our blueprint is more like the Seahawks just not with a mobile QB. Look at Carolina's game plan. You know how crucial it is to have a QB that can get you 3-5 yards on a broken pass play or when no one is open? Carolina's WR's are worse than Philly's.

Rams are inconsistent yes, but we've beaten Seattle twice and AZ in AZ - and the losses nor the wins were solely because of the QB. 5 game losing streak was a head scratcher  Rams are a few pieces away from being really good if coached to be consistent and no we don't need Sam Bradford. Sam needs to go to an up tempo offense like what Chip Kelly runs. Chip might have been an idiot as far as a GM and play calling at times, but his offense is pretty good and it wears down defenses. This works in the Pac 12 and Big 12, but in the NFL it's not about score, score, score.. It's about ball control and playing defense. Even New England has had a good defense, along with that offense. New England's offense is very much like Chip Kelly's offense, but without the HURRY UP.

After watching the Miss St / NC State game, I could see either QB fitting in well with the Rams as a developmental mobile QB prospect (Prescott, Brissett). Brissett underperformed, but Miss St was clearly the better team. Brissett really showed some toughness.

As far as the other pro prospect QBs this bowl season, Goff looked very good and is very much a pro style pocket passer. Lynch put up an absolute stinker. Cook couldn't do much against Alabama's dominating defense; when he finally did get a roll going, he threw a redzone pick. Sucks that Boykin was stupid enough to get arrested, wanted one more look at him as well.

Well here's your final 2015 regular season QB performance standings. Carson Palmer over takes Big Ben on the final week and yes former Ram Sam Bradford finishes in the Top 10! Despite not having a #1 WR and Avg at best Oline play. Sam also set an Eagle single season record best completion % at 65%. Let's hope the Rams make a push to get Sam back!
