It's still early. The Lakers are terrible and poorly run.
And the Pelicans are loving it as they get the opportunity to swap first rounders with the Lakers as part of the Anthony Davis trade that keeps on giving.
Seriously, that trade feels like Bobby Bonilla day every draft day.
Aside from the championship that first year, it has been a terrible trade for the Lakers.
Davis is no longer the player he used to be because, surprise, the injury history he had prior to the trade, continues to rear its ugly head.
And that is why the trade was so risky, and now, so costly for the Lakers. Those 1st round picks everyone thought would be in the 20’s have now turned into lottery picks.
Ouch!! That is how you kill a roster people.
Pelicans look like geniuses because not only did they get all those 1st round picks, but they also got the best player in the trade ( Ingram ).
And they will not get much for AD compared to what they invested in him.Yep, DJ. I am quite sure you are right. Throw out the window any thoughts of the Lakers doing much of anything this year accept getting a really good draft position for the Pels and helping LeBron get the scoring record over Kareem. After that, I see the Lakers moving AD and getting LeBron to waive is no-trade clause so he can be traded. The house-cleaning will then be on.
We won because we got the end goal....NBA trade retrospective: Who won the Lakers-Pelicans Anthony Davis swap?
This week marks three years since the Anthony Davis trade. With the benefit of hindsight, who made out better in this deal — the Lakers or the Pelicans?fansided.com
Trade breakdown as it currently stands.
I think Brown retires a Laker.Yep, DJ. I am quite sure you are right. That's supposed to be Bron.I think Brown retires a Laker.
If they chose to trade him....I think they would get a fair return. He is just 29 still. And they will not get much for AD compared to what they invested in him.
