It's not uncommon for movies and show to have a point of view.. You don't have to watch... .

I think for the most part it's more a question of familiarity that often turns out to be a nothing burger once the initial surprise is over... Although I don't disagree that some movies with heavy does of political correctness can turn out to be crapola. Wonder Woman 1984 comes to mind here..

It 100% depends on the script. In WW84, if they removed all the “woke” stuff but keep the overall story intact, it would still suck.

Best example is “House of the Dragon” vs “Rings of Power”. Both faced accusations of wokeness before they aired, and after the finishing their first seasons, it turned out that HotD is far “woker”, but it’s a better written show with the political elements interwoven into the story, so it has been better received.

A movie like “Get Out” is full of poñitical, and it’s an amazing movie.

I had a hard time following the finale. Seems like they were rushing to tie up all four threads and took some shortcuts. Queen Miriel just happened to have Narsil leaning up against a sofa in her penthouse all this time? There were a few other head scratchers, like the resolution of Durin III and what happened to Adar when he wore Galadriel's ring. And the "confrontation" between the Stranger and the dark (Blue) wizard was lame. I'm hoping they were setting up some better stuff for season 3

This show suffers from what a lot of movies and shows suffer from.
Long, dull and unimportant one on one dialog that would mean nothing to the story line if it was cut out.

These one & one dialogs are often about petti issues with each other as opposed to discussing important plot related subjects.

This is why GOT was so good. They kept these pointless, uninteresting conversations to a minimum.
