It's the first time I've seen it. Good movie, lots of overacting, but I think it was the norm in '49. I read that it was based on Huey Long. 7/10.

A relatively simple revenge storyline, with great action and shootouts, and a colorful array of characters and good performances all-around. I read that it was directed by Keanu Reeves' former stunt-double, and it shows. There is clearly a lot of care taken in how action scenes were choreographed and filmed. Definitely worth watching.

I agree. I really liked the action scenes in this movie and the fight choreography was on point. That sum bech was surgical with that gun.

Just finished watching John Wick... Good action movie. Kinda funny the entire movie was basically about getting revenge on a guy that killed his dog. I know there is more meaning than that, but funny to think about. The sound it made when he kicked that guy in the nads while he was in a bathrobe... That's going to give me nightmares. Thanks for the recommendation gents!

Worth the watch for the action. 7/10

Finders Keepers

Good cinematography and decent acting. Some annoying and ridiculous moments, but those come with lower budget horror films. It was entertaining but not sure I would recommend it. You can use this movie as "how not to raise your kids" parenting advice. That little shit got rewarded for everything wrong she did.

American Sniper

Great movie. Inspiring. Eastwood did a great job of capturing the reality of the war in Iraq. Both for the war itself and the affects it has/had on vets. Sad & abrupt ending, but that was the reality of it and I think there was a good point to doing it that way. Really made the whole movie sink in. Also inspired me to go shoot my 30-06 at the range.

Draft day - what a shit movie. does any real fan of football think any of those trades costner made would ever in a million years happen? no one would ever trade 3 1sts to move up 6 spots. especially on someone you werent sure about and then draft the guy you could have traded down to get? and then 3 seconds for the 6th pick? and then the original team trades back the 3 1sts and a adds a player. The only reason I rated it so low is because I had crazy high expectations. In reality, it was probably a 9.5.

Powerful movie. I thought it actually did a really good job of not preaching pro-war or anti-war. It focused on one guy, and it gave some alternate opinions in some of the support characters.

I loved the score during the closing credits (silence). SUPER emotional.
