Yeah I saw the end. Wife had it on. Always a great one.

The Shape of Water: 4.5/5 stars. The plot was nothing special; it's thematic content has been touched upon many times throughout the years. This movie really excelled at it though. Sally Hawkins (who I'd never heard of before this movie) was great. Richard Jenkins looked like Kevin Spacey but his voice sounded like Bryan Cranston. He too was really good. And Michael Shannon is incapable of giving a bad performance, or even of just not stealing the show from everyone else.
Definitely on the lower end for me of 4.5/5 star movies, if not the lowest I have rated as such. Still, a really great movie.
Saw the latest Star Wars as the annual family Christmas Eve movie. 'Twas ok. Don't reall ygo to the movies much but I do want to go see Finest Hour. The Winston Churchill movie.

"The Lives of Others"
Finally got around to watching this masterpiece. Now I know what everyone was talking about. Anyone seen this? Just an incredible film that you will still feel long after it's finished.
Wow, that goes deep down the Blockbuster shelves... Which is ironically where I bought that movie from not too long before they went out of business.
Really solid movie, very slow paced though for most people. My kid watched it as part of their SS class last year.
