Thing is it stands the test of time so why the remake?

Hollywood is broken.

Remakes and comic book shit.....

These responses annoy me... What is the difference between comic book shit, and novel shit?? Movies have never been original ideas...

....I never thought i'd see a remake, but why not...?!,.....I just hope it's not all computer-animated like the previews kinda show.

I don't have to see it and I detest CGI.

It's what I love about Lawrence of Arabia. You see what looks like 1,000 Arabs on camels and that's what it is.

I rented 12 Rounds 3: Lockdown. I had a free rental code at Redbox and figured that there wasn't really anything else out that I hadn't already seen so gave it a shot. Not an awful movie but not a bad way to kill an hr and a half either.

Just watched Hateful 8.

9/10

CLASSIC QT! It reminded me a lot of Reservoir Dogs. Incredible tension done entirely through dialogue.

I am just starting Revenant now.

Acting was great (both Hardy and DiCaprio deserve noms). Cinematography was great. Story was slow and rather boring.

I expect it to clean up at the Oscars because this is the kind of movie the Acadamy loves. It had a definite "The Mission" or "Last of the Mohicans" feel to it. But I have no desire to watch it again.

Saw Creed and Martian.

Creed: 7/10

Good, solid movie. Probably on par with Rocky II. Not as solid or original as Rocky, not as fun as Rocky IV. I was disappointed a bit based on all the raving reviews I heard about it, though. It wasn't THAT good.

Martian: 8.5/10

Solid movie. It was long, but I never felt bored. It didn't drag. There were some aspects in the final act that kinda drove me crazy, but they were rather minor, so I am overall OK with it.

when the Stan's character was outside the craft, he was flying around WAY too much. He was not tethered in, yet he broke contact with the ship on numerous occasions.

I did like the Iron Man reference with Winter Soldier sitting at the other end of the radio, though. That made me laugh.

Bridge of Spies: pretty solid. Not a lot of action, but very well acted. 7/10
Creed: enjoyed it. Stallone's part was small but very well done. 6/10
Star Wars: A solid start to the reboot. Looking forward to the next one 8/10
The Martian: It held my interest and I was not shocked at the "Hollywood" ending. Several interesting aspects. 6.5/10

I don't think it's about originality, that is movies based upon comic books vs based on novels. Comic book movies are without exception (I think) supernatural/fantasy with a lot of CGI. Movies based upon novels tend to be more reality based/plausible. I prefer the latter, though I enjoy a good comic book supernatural fantasy once in awhile. To each his own.

The Martian. 8/10.

I like Empire and Jedi just a head of Hope. And then Force comes in right before Hope

There are 3 certainties in life

Death
Taxes
Empire is the best of the Star Wars Movies.

I have them

Empire
Hope
Jedi
Sith/Force Awakens - Can't choose
Clones
Menace

watched the new Mission Impossible last nite. Quite enjoyable.

Also watched Inside Out, and I have to say, it was incredible. Pixar knocked this one out of the park. It was humorous, but it was heart-wrenching as well. Very well done show. I'd put it up there with the best movies I've seen in 2015.
