He plays solid defense and made 19 of 25 treys (good for 2nd) at combine. He may be close to what Gary Payton Jr is or maybe Thybulle eventually?

Here is this clown, still pushing this trade proposal of BI to the Warriors when the Warriors don't have any cap space to do this deal. I think some people are just bored.

It would almost work if they guaranteed Paul's 2024-25 salary (those two contracts come up just short of Ingram's and the Warriors can't add salary via trade due to being over the second apron), but why would any team want to pay CP3 $30M this year? He will be much cheaper as a FA (if he doesn't retire).

This is just ridiculous because Jeanie Buss doesn't have the total knowledge of what to do nor does she seem to know what to do next. Why doesn't Jeanie just hire this guy as the Lakers GM and let him do his thing, that is if Coach K would take the position. Apparently Pelinka doesn't know what to do either.

I think it's being overstated. More likely, Coach K was approached as a reference for Redick.

That said, I agree that Jeanie and Pelinka are in over their heads. They need a PBO to supervise Pelinka and buffer Jeanie from that process.

Borrego may have the inside tract to the HC hiring but Quinn and Cassell's names keep emerging!

Lakers received permission to interview a bunch of possibilities, including Borrego, Quinn, Cassell, Nori, Adelman, etc. Of course, Redick is also in that mix but doesn't require permission.

And then there is this, a return to my original contention that BI would be that third guy??!!

If BI could stay healthy, I'd agree. If they're adding a younger third star, preferably it wouldn't be someone who routinely misses 20 games or more a year.

Thinking Borrego gets the job.

He has history with AD and at this point the Lakers probably should listen to him more than Bron at this point in their careers.

Where is this history? He joined the Magic staff in 2012. AD's rookie year was 12/13.

He didn't coach him and I never said he did but in Shams podcast he mentioned Borrego and AD having a relationship. Think it was they met before the draft or something and they have stayed in touch.

Yep, indeed and then send his ass, Hood-Schifino, Cam Reddish, and Vincent to Cleveland for Donovan Mitchell!

In a sign and trade you cannot package Russell and others in the outgoing trade. Have to be Russell and draft picks.
