I'm going to make a banner with Wash's face on it and put it up top. So that EVERY TIME YALL LOG IN... you will see it. (I am the banner maker.........try me. :) )

Not saying he doesnt deserve the criticism... - he deserves alot (like playing Murphy) - but most of this is on the players. The man gets paid to manage the team - he obviously knows more than all of us. (though there will be some that disagree on that). But its fact.
But I forget, this is the DFW area. And its NEVER the players...always the coach/manager as the scapegoat.

So with that, can we PLEASE get back to talking about baseball/the game...instead of criticizing Wash for everything in every post? Would make these threads a little more enjoyable to read........ just sayin.

After all, the team is 1 game back of a playoff spot (with all the injuries that have happened this year).

Guess everyone forgot what it was like a handful of years ago.

I blame Wash for them not scoring any runs with the bases loaded and nobody out.
Am I doing it right?

Boys and girls I think that's a fitting way for our playoff hopes to come to an end don't you? Bases load nobody out and your 3-4-5 hitters due up and score absolutely fucking bumpkis

You'd think they could at least do the double play first..... Get the run and then strikeout to end the inning? This team has mastered the art of choking on a giant sack of balls

Why is Garza still in there and how long do you stick with him.

I think that was it too
all morale took a huge dive
it's over

We don't deserve a playoff spot, just aren't good enough...it's pretty simple

They must figure it's the last time he pitches as a Ranger, might as well go 150 pitches here...burn him out!

Yea good point, I he's gonna be somebody else's problem next year why not let him throw 150? I like it.

Ironically, I don't think Garza has been as bad as everyone is saying tonight.
Not that we should resign him, but this game is not on him so far

Honestly, I've said and felt this all season. We are really not a terrific team, which our record, excluding the disAstros, is 1 game over .500 proves.

We have had a marvelous season under the circumstances really. Any team can't lose over 220 RBI from the previous season (MY, Hamilton, Nap) and then have the Berkman experiment blow up, plus lose Cruz and expect more than what we've gotten.

They've lit him up a bit, but he's gotten out of jams. No way this game is his fault.

But they really need to pull him...

Agreed Lainey, despite all the hits etc... He should be leaving with a 3-1 lead if not more.

I'm looking forward to somehow getting Holland shipped off, not quite sure what he brings to the table.

Thanks Garza hope what we gave up for you doesn't end up as what they project to or you gave us a real raw deal

Well that's all good but I think it's a little skewed as well. Lets not forget that this team has been successful this season against Boston, Detroit, and Tampa. Likewise they were successful against the likes of the NYY, Baltimore, the Reds, and yes even the A's not to mention sweeping a series in St Louis this year as well. So it's a bit disingenuous to say that they are only successful because the ply the Astros 19 times.

The reality is that this team is talented but very shallow this year and poorly managed to boot. They were able to sustain through a few injuries and a suspension for a bit but there just isn't enough depth to maintain consistency when you are starting two to three triple A players every night in the height of a pennant race in September. Mix in the need for an outstanding manager capable of stealing a game or two through their tactical decisions that clearly Wash is not and there you go. That's reality so yes, thank you Astros but lets not get too carried away either.

Here's what I think of the whole "if not for the Astros" bit.
