Update on the "Cody Parkey will never have a kicking job in the NFL again" front.

Cody Parkey got beat out for a kicking job with the Jets a few weeks ago, which are being coached by one of his old coaches - Gase. The guy that beat him out, Vedvik, was cut after one game, because he lost them the game. So the Jets just went and signed another kicker.

Not Parkey.

I swear, it's because when he has a kick that he has more than enough leg for. He just floats them up there instead of driving them.

I don't know place kicking. But it seems like a plausible explanation for why so many kicks start center cut and then slowly just drift into the upright.
