theyve gone for it on 4th vs having him kick. says enough. i think he has the yips, and i think hes seeing a sports psychologist. its not physical me thinks.

i dont think hes actually hurt. i think he has the yips. he hits FG's no problem. hes 7/8 on FG's. he cant hit XP's. 11 for 15.

Gost has been erratic for a while now. It's almost a relief to know that he is hurting and not just losing it.

atriots placed K Stephen Gostkowski (hip) on injured reserve, ending his 2019 season.
Gostkowski's the fourth player New England's moved to injured reserve this season, joining N'Keal Harry, James Develin and Isaiah Wynn. He'll reportedly be ready to kick for the 2020 season. This could also explain why Gostkowski's struggled in sinking just 11-of-15 extra points on the year. It remains unclear who'll be kicking for the Patriots against Washington on Sunday, but the team did host several free agents to fill Gostkowski's void at Wednesday's practice. The 35-year-old's attempted every kick for the Patriots over the past eight seasons.

By putting a player who is having a hard time lately on IR. Although said player is uninjured

Itsfunneh 98.5 radio is saying basically the same thing I was that this isn't really injury-related it's that he's getting older and he's just not good anymore. Apparently this surgery is a very minor procedure that they've been putting off for well over a year that he could have had done in the offseason but he said he could kick through it and he had been through most of last season apparently.
