Is it bad to lose to Philly?

No. It’s an accumulation thing. Philly can be good, even though it isn’t their best year. It’s just the Jazz can’t take the next step if they can’t expect to beat Philly. (And lose the other two.) Same would go for Philly regarding the Jazz, but the Sixers didn’t lose to the Jazz.

If they could do that three times in a row, I would be impressed. They often say that some NFL teams have a great defense but no offense and they lose all the time. I’ve seen teams lose games 3 to 0 before in football. That’s good defense or bad offense or a combination.

I would be impressed too.

I didn’t realize the jazz were six in points allowed. That’s something I will take into account moving forward.

They are seven lowest scoring team but I already knew that.

I think I was more upset with the percentage they allow other teams to shoot. But if they allow fewer shots or more two point shots or force more turnovers (IF!!!), that could offset the shooting ability of other teams. We do need to improve on offense, of course.

I heard on the radio that overall we are getting good shots and just missing them. The player who is taking the stupid shots is Mitchell. Pressure? The shots are not contested but the stupid ones because are where he shooting. Maybe is working on something the first half of the season?

Why in the hell are we shooting the ball when we are up by one point with 13 seconds to go. Let them foul us, right? We had a clean shot clock.

Aaaaaaaargh! Stupid Carmelo.

I hate one point losses. So glad we lost by 16 tonight against OKC.

Is that Mitchell's nickname now?

Scott Van Pelt on Sportscenter killed the Jazz' shot selection late in the game.

He said to drive, not take long shots.

Yes, we didn’t necessarily have to just sit down on the ball, but even driving and fumbling out of bounds would’ve taken off more clock if not draw a foul or get a shot. You could even shoot the ball and get the offensive rebound if you were driving. Or a tip in. Waiting until one second and throwing it high in the air could work too.

If Carmelo we’re still on their team, we would’ve won the game.

Thanks.

I didn't know you agreed with my assessment about this, from earlier in the year.

Worst team in sports?

It’s not really serious. Nuraman used to try to get me to say at the Jazz were the best in sports when we won a big game. So now it is a running joke that they are the worst when they lose by either a lot or from stupid mistakes.

Worst team in sports?

One of the times they were the worst team in sports was when they lost the regular season ending game here, after having a double digit lead:

Utah Jazz at Los Angeles Lakers Box Score, April 13, 2016 | Basketball-Reference.com

Other examples include not trading for Jeff Teague when Atlanta traded him away.

I'm starting to think that not trading for Conley Jr. at this year's trading deadline, can also qualify.

Losing a 25 point lead in 8 minutes and 49 seconds to OKC (that's when OKC took the lead) also qualifies.

As would a wire to wire, double digit loss.

I’m guessing by the post you decided to post this in that you don’t think these guys are very good? Could they be better in the system in limited minutes?

They're horrible. How many systems does Jeff Green need? This is his 8th team, 9 if you want to be funny and count Seattle and Oklahoma City as different teams.

Even Shelvin Mack is better than Mudiay.

Dennis Lindsey went from an A offseason, to less than that.

The Jazz just signed some of the worst players in the league.
