I hate to see it happen but it isn't like they just lost Dick Butkus or Willie Lanier. Lets see what Holcomb can do if the injury is bad. Bring back Vigil. Mason Foster wasn't going anywhere.

He did not play well last year, he played well his first year. Little early to be saying it is huge. There were a lot of question marks about this guy last year and I am talking about his play on the field.

All that said it is sad to see him get hurt like this.

Kills our depth. We have to start Dion now. If one of our ILBs go down, JHC is going to see major time. R. Foster was the only ILB on the roster that could play all three downs. It's a loss. It changes the defense and how Manusky has to gameplan.

Injuries happen in football. The real hope should be that this is one of the few season ending injuries.

It's done - there is nothing you can do about it. It also doesn't mean that now the Redskins are doomed to incur a ton of injuries this season. That remains to be seen. I am sure that the Skins (& every team) take all necessary precautions to avoid injuries, but they are going to happen in this type of sport. For all folks who think that they know better than I suggest that you apply for the position of head trainer for an NFL or major college football team. These things are not as easy to plan as some folks maintain.

This injury is very unfortunate, but it doesn't wipe out all of the good moves made thus far by this team during the offseason. Let's just wait & see what happens moving forward before we all go on this "Woe is me as a Redskins fan" stance. I am still looking forward to the upcoming season.

I believe it to be a HUGE loss. Only real viable starter with speed in that position. My guess is the team will go outside the organization to bring in a better fit. Mason Foster is backup material. SDH is a bit small with less range. Holcomb has some speed but weighs 230 which means he could get swallowed up by OL. I also believe the team has put a majority of their eggs in the defense' basket this year and Foster was a big part of that and his injury has created a gapping hole. The team will figure it out but his replacement comes from the outside imo. We shall see.
