Man, I know Heaney was fantastic tonight, but Dunning, with the big leap he's seeming to have taken, just screams starter material. We shall see.
Is it unrealistic to think he could pitch 3-4 innings somewhat regularly as a reliever?
Not just in blowout losses? It's kind of an alternate way they could keep him somewhat stretched out without sending him down to AAA.

Heaney has always had a good arm. He is susceptible to having a meltdown but had a lot less of them last year.

Even if the Rays play .500 the rest of the season they will finish 86-76, the same record they had last year and clinched a wild card spot.

Tonight’s ball game was fun.

got to see Heaney break a record, got to see a grand slam, got to see perhaps Zack Greinkes last game against us in his storied career. The bullpen continues to dazzle.

we needed a game like this after Baltimore punched us in the mouth and the cubbies kept us under wraps most of the weekend in Chicago.
