also forgot to point out with the texas/florida pod......teams get a guaranteed game in texas and florida every year for recruits

if they keep it the same you would have only 2 ooc games..........but ooc games wont carry much weight with the play-offs coming so i would hope teams schedule 1 cupcake and then one decent/big team to get ready for the conference games

with the play-offs winning the conference is key so you can afford the early ooc loss and it wont matter one bit

Well now it 12 games, 1 more if in conf champinship then bowl. So most is 14.

What about w/ this pod 1 or 2 more non-conference games; so you play either 15 or 16 games. So instead of 2 non-conf games you 3 or 4 like normal; but you still have pod idea. Then you can have break in schedule with 2 or 3 cupcakes but also 1 maybe 2 big non-conf opponents.

well break down the b1g for us......lets say they add unc and vt.... GO!!!

pod 1--lsu,tamu,vandy,mizzou

pod 2--bama,auburn,tenn,uk

pod 3-- uf,uga,msu,uva

pod 4-- sc,nc state,ole miss,arky

i know pod 4 looks pretty weak ..... i tried to pair up some tough games/rivals in each pod and thats how it turned out......thoughts?? keep in mind under my scenario you have one protected rivalry so bama vs lsu can still be played and anyother rival games

Pod 4 looks weakest. How would they decide what teams go in each pod? Location, success, etc??

a little of every thing want the pods to be semi-balanced......geography mostly unless it really weakens one pod

keep in mind the pod only is 3 games out of 10

then 2 from the other pods
