no they won't.

Eagles are the team in the NFCE that have the bleakest future. Can't compete when you have 2 players Wentz/Cox) your paying 60 million a year to have on your roster. One is a third string QB you'll never get rid of unless your willing to pay a lot of their salary.

Eagles had the bleakest future after firing Chip Kelly in 2015. Two years later they won the Super Bowl.

Wentz will likely be gone in the coming months and Cox is still one of the better DTs in the game and will likely get a contract restructure.

Eagles aren't a good team but they have the trade assets to get more picks and great draft position in this draft. It does not take long for well run organizations to turn it around in the NFL.

It's the very poorly run ones like Washington and New York that struggle to get out of the pit.

Tom Coughlin is long gone and Jerry Reese are long gone. Before they left they were already settling into the losing organization that they have become.

7 losing seasons this past decade. Things are being run beautifully up there in New Jersey.

Yeah it will be tough for this organization to overcome Peter King being upset. Sure we might get a great player and be in better position throughout the draft but that won't be worth it due to disappointing Peter King.

You probably could have done that at 9 without alienating the entire lockeroom and scaring away potential free agents

Yep, should be back to playoffs within the next two years while the Giants continue to be perennial losers.

Yup, definitely looks like Howie has that team trending in the right direction

Alienating the locker room and scaring away potential free agents?

This roster is going to go through an overhaul. So few players on the roster are part of any long term vision for this team. They won't be pursuing any big time free agents this summer. Any free agents they sign will be bargain bin short term deals and the types of players that sign those deals won't be in any position to turn down offers from any team.

Nate Sudfeld will probably stick around

Eagles are projected to be 73 million over the cap next year according to ESPN. Would that qualify as poorly run? Contract reconstruction got them into this mess. The QB that piloted your SB victory has a statue outside the stadium but he's long gone. The third string QB is owed 34 million next year. Well run you say?

They are kind of fortunate to be in that cap situation. It will force them to conduct a long overdue rebuild.

I can't take a conversation about poorly run feanchise seriously though with a Redskins fan. Your franchise is a disaster.

And part of what made them that disaster is exactly what @skinzfan told you your eagles have done.

Ertz is a goner on that roster

I’ve said in this thread, they didn’t “owe” anything to the Giants, that angle is ridiculous, this was all about the look and how obvious it was

no one on the planet believes that a QB like Sudfeld, who doesn’t belong in the NFL, gave the Eagles a better chance of winning than Hurts, and that’s not an endorsement of Hurts, the jury is very much out on him

and in a game when points are at a premium, not taking a game tying FG on 4th and goal vs the best red zone defense in the league

it was just the look of it all, they wanted to move 3 spots in the draft and that’s their prerogative, they just should have went about it differently

for their own good, they’ve created a Mutiny in their own lockerroom, forget the Giants or the Skins or anyone else

Again if the goal from the start was to lose then why didn't he sit more starters? Ertz was just one example. The decision to kick the field goal was a stupid decision, it's not proof that he tried to purposely throw a game. Why on earth would a coach on the hot seat do that to himself?

Oh I don't think there is any question that the Eagles have had a far superior organization. The issue you have is you are making some pretty bold predictions about a team with so many problems and facing a complete rebuild. Can Howie stop making shitty drafts?

The saving grace of course is the division but it's pretty clear that if Dallas gets Dak back and Washington can come up with a QB who is not a statue there will be better competition in the division.

It’s pretty well know the instruction to lose was organizational

Doug would never make those moves on his own

Nah, They'll keep Wentz unless he agrees to a sizeable re-structuring of his contract. Otherwise, if the whines about a trade, tell him to STFU, he signed on the dotted line. If they upgrade their line, and get their running game going on (a big key in the SB year), Wentz is serviceable. Hurts isn't going to work, long-term.
