The Eagles made a mockery of the NFL last night

We have a Super Bowl winning HC and GM. We have the 6th overall pick in the draft. We are just flat out a better run organization than any of the other teams in the division. I have no doubts whatsoever that the Eagles will be back to a playoff team within the next two years.

I'd bet the Jets even make the playoffs before the Giants do again. Giants have a terrible GM and QB. Not a good combo.

You also have had a number of bad drafts, a terrible cap situation, and a ton of holes to fill. The GM and HC could very well be gone and you have no idea if you even have a long term answer at the QB position, Hurts is still a very big question mark.

I understand this, teams have different reasons for sitting players. So why should one be punished and one not for basically doing the same thing? Reasons? That's kind of a silly argument

And Pederson told the network that the plan was to get a look at Sudfeld, pretty similar situation. And again if they were trying to assure a loss then why weren't other starters pulled? Why was a player as valuable as Zach Ertz playing till the end if he was purposely trying to lose?

I’ve said in this thread, they didn’t “owe” anything to the Giants, that angle is ridiculous, this was all about the look and how obvious it was

no one on the planet believes that a QB like Sudfeld, who doesn’t belong in the NFL, gave the Eagles a better chance of winning than Hurts, and that’s not an endorsement of Hurts, the jury is very much out on him

and in a game when points are at a premium, not taking a game tying FG on 4th and goal vs the best red zone defense in the league

it was just the look of it all, they wanted to move 3 spots in the draft and that’s their prerogative, they just should have went about it differently

My real issue has to do with Pederson's dishonesty. He basically lied to his players by pretending to want to win that game. And he flat out lied in the presser afterward and it was an obvious lie.
For him to come out and say "I was trying to win the game" is laughable. Then he follows up by saying he wanted to get Sudfeld some reps for his loyalty to the team. Honestly, there wouldn't be a storyline here if Doug just gave the veterans the night off and played Sudfeld from the start. But because of the way he handled it, it just is ugly and stupid. And his players deserved to be in on it and given the choice.

Yeah smart people know the reason for that SB win is now the head coach of the Colts

it’s no coincidence that since his departure, 2 QBs and 1 head coaches career have completely fallen off a cliff, while that guy in Indy has a playoff game this week

And yet in that time frame since Frank Reich has left the Eagles have had way more success than the Giants.

This team under Lurie has shown time and time again that they are capable of quickly rebuilding and turning it around.

I can't stand Peterson but did his game plan change during the game? Not that I can see. He rested his injured players and let Sudfield play as he said he would do days before the game. He's not there to carry the Giants water, he works for the Eagles. If the game mattered Cox would have been on the field. Pederson's actions were not thought out at halftime. Giants don't want to be disrespected ? Win more games, don't lose 3 of your final four regular season games. As an aside I haven't seen anything from Hurts that leads to believe he could have made a difference in the game. I don't see him as better than any mobile QB from a Division 1 program.
