I’m glad the Rangers didn’t offer him more than $20 million a year.. as he ages his defense will get a little worse..
I would have been happy with a 5 year $100 million deal but nothing more than that.
I would have been content with 6 years $144 million but would have been a little ehh..

definitely glad they didn’t sign him to a 7 year $210- 9 year/$270 million.. not worth it

That is pretty much what Evan tweeted out just after the trade. No real negotiations. They simply went through the motions to say they tried. I would have liked to have seen them give Boras the chance to turn down 5 for $140 million. If he did, then, "adios."
