Leafs picked Rodion Amirov about 6-7 places ahead of where he should have gone.

Plus there was a guy in the background of the shot that looked like one of Freddie Mercury's boy toys.

Amirov is a great pick actually. High end skill there. Kid could be a possession beast.

The more I read up on the defenseman at 20 the less concerned I am. Definitely sounds like we reached (probably a positional panic pick after Rangers leap frogged us and too Braden Schneider). But he sounds like a player and there doesn't seem to be any sort of consensus beyond the top 15 so who knows.

Would love the Devils to figure a way into the 2nd round as our next pick isn't until 84.
